The changes you to malz stopped that. When malz was my main midlane champ I would ask for zed to not be banned on the hope that the enemy would blind pick him. Now the "setup" for malz to successfully actually net a kill E>W>R takes so long that anyone that would dive you successfully gets their kill off on you and frankly your passive is doing jack to protect you from that.

Sylverblitz2 votesQSS will cleanse the suppress effect and let Zed escape but it will not cleanse the Zed ult. In terms of ults Malz's new ult almost demands you have malefic visions on the target as well to stand a chance of killing them. He has a lot less burst damage overall in favour of more sustained damage.
Shadow Hazard1 votesQSS still works against malz's ult. The fact that the ult is a pool instead of a tether damage means that onces you leave the pool you aren't taking damage anymore. And again the significantly longer set up for the ult to actually have kill potential is longer than the time it takes for zed to pull off his combo when he ults so he is basically guaranteed a kill against malz. Not to mention that malz's lane shove potential is dependent on his voidlings which zed can kill extremely fast while clearing his wave means zed can wave shove better than you.

Also, even before the Malz changes, I remember everytime I saw a Malz I just picked and rolled Merc Treads, QSS, Maw, and maybe, just maybe, a banshee's, just to annoy the Malzahar. I won 90% of the times I played against Malz doing that, so I never really considered him as a hard counter to me.

Cucked Virjhïn1 votesI used to main malz since the preseason and he destroyed yasuo and zed so easily because there was ZERO kill set up. poke with q once or twince hit level 6 then go in e-r- ignite and puddle if needed. now he requires a fuck ton of setup for a kill and by time youre about to ult you are probably getting ganked and are caught or youre dead
