How to beat Lulu, Soraka, Nami, and other supports like them?

In particular today I fought a Lulu bot. Now granted I decided to run Galio support with the hopes my magic shield and Q poke could keep her at bay and then all in her when the time was right. Lulu does way more damage early than I realized, and over the next couple levels, she only gets beefier and by extension her adc, in this case an Ezreal.

Now it was a bad game for our bot over all, we kept getting roamed and their jungle ganked us 7 times by 8 min mark by my estimate. I tried to ward more, but we were fighting under tower a lot to try and bide time. I did not blame our jungler cause he was going for the late game split push win, and would've had it if we had played smarter in the closing moments of the game. He played the long game and we just made poor choices defending our own base.

With all that out of the way, and getting back to my first point, Lulu was scary in lane, and I've had similar problems facing Soraka and Nami for the same reason. They do so much damage and if you try to all in them, the enemy adc gets off scott free and goes to town on you. Alternatively if you focus the adc, they get buffed and healed while these supports DPS you with a surprising amount of hurt.

What's the conventional strategy to deal with these sorts of match ups? I really want to be able to handle them better.

Against the healers especially Soraka... Ask your ADC to buy item 3123 as early as possible.

Youre spot on. Long range harass champions, Super all in CC bots, other sustain supports, and most importantly: Grievous wounds.

Could also play Annie and 1 shot them or their ADC at level 6 and every time your ult is up after that.

Most enchanters either ban Pyke, Thresh or Blitzcrank.

Well place ignite on the target you desire to kill first, its better be the supports cause they dont have any mobility and as galio you can lock down ( vs Ezreal who has his E, Jhin has his W root and E slow) if not killing the adc cause he is overextending is ok too. So the damage from ignite reduces the healing and deals true damage. Now if you still can kill any of them, ask for mid and jungle gank together so you can 1st kill them both and take tower plates and/or take dragon.

My best pick has always been Leona as they can't do much when I have three forms of CC. You can stop one, good luck if I managed to get in.

I've tried that, and it just doesn't work due to the issues mentioned above. Leona might be able to lock down one, but the other just focuses you. Your adc had to actually follow up, and even then you likely eat all the harass as they flash away and double back on you, effectively causing you to lose the trade.

It also helps if your jungler camps bot, but we all know that never happens. It's only the enemy jungler that ever camps your lane. But really if you are playing her into that matchup, you never want to all in. you have to pick a target and burn summs, back out then try later. If you're all-inning in with flash up, you're going to have a bad time.

Let's say it's an Ez-Lulu bot lane. Go in, pop a flash, back out. Go in pop Ezreal E and possibly a flash. Back out again and pick one, one has two escapes down, the other has one, neither choice is usually right yet you're going to have to force your adc to pick a target who is usually whoever you are focusing.

What a nightmare lol. I'll try to keep that in mind. Like I say for jungling, "Sometimes it's the summoner spells you're after, not the kill." Same applied to every lane in retrospect.

Join em. Or play some hard engage like Blitz or Leo and if your ADC is half decent you'll 100-0 them before they can heal it all back up.

My favorite aggressive would be syndra.. risky but must enchanters will fall too her combo. That or take the stall lane and focus on zoning and keeping your adc alive, hoping the rest of your team does well.

Syndra Draven Syndra Lucian Syndra Jhin Syndra Tristana

Draven Syndra is probably the best one in my opinion. Syndra only has to land 1 Q E combo in the early levels and Draven will either outright kill the enemy ADC or Support with his absurd damage or force their summoners.

These 2 are brutal kill lanes at 6+

Syndra Ashe Syndra Varus

I played Syndra Lucian a bit in normals in the past and it was pretty XD.

I wouldn't recommend picking Syndra along side a Hypercarry who isn't Tristana.

Syndra is a lane bully herself so pairing her with Lane bullies or champions who can fight early is best way to use her as a support.

The secret to winning against Enchanters Like Nami Lulu Soraka Sona is to also play one of those champs and sustain or Blow them up first with an all in support like Leona Nautilus

play a CC damage support that can aim at the healer pyke is a good example because of his rush in ult them Soraka or dodge Nami bubbles while also pulling them. they are weak to displacements due to their healing nature they hate the front lines.

If you're gonna play a tank support into a poke/enchanter type, you need to play either hyper-aggro or hyper-defensive. You can't play the matchup tepidly while looking for occasional trades - you will lose the long game here. You need to play aggressively if you play a tank support into Lulu, Nami, Soraka, etc.

Now then, if you don't like that playstyle, then you should try playing another enchanter into them. If they pick Lulu, you play Nami. And so on. That way you can actually trade effectively without losing your healthbar looking for a good engage. Personally, I've all but dropped playing tank supports in S9 because there are no really good options for sustaining in lane early on. Tank supports shine either in hyper-aggro lanes or in scaling to lategame, but most games in S9 are decided pretty early on. And unless you're a really good Leona with a good adc in lane, you're not gonna win too many lane matchups against Nami or Soraka unless they position themselves poorly.

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

Depends on your AD. If they have a good early, all-in them. Yes you will take damage, but you should be able to out trade and usually kill one of them. You have to re-engage fairly quickly or they will sustain you to death.

If you have a weak early AD just play passive and pray for ganks.

Depends on your teammate mostly if you can fight or not, if it's a weak early game carry like Sivir Tristana there's not much you can do.

However against enchanters the best go-to is to hope your team has bruisers/tanks and pick a long range/heavy nuke support like Zyra Brand Velkoz and go from there.
