I made it a personal challenge to look for a way to address frustration many boards users express. I wanted to see if I can find one that's satisfactory to multiple groups, both the yas is fine and yas is cancer. I also wanted something that's not the constant requests for things that would only result in completely gutting him.
I wanted to see how other feel about this as a option for a nerf. I don't think that hitting just numbers is going to ultimately make the folks that chronically struggle vs yas or get tilted by him in their game happy, the folks that don't care about him would just consider him weaker and be fine, if he is left alone they would still be fine. In a ideal world Learning how to counter play him would best but its pretty clear that's difficult for some players.
The number of shots blocked would be very relevant to Yas, good yas players would have to make a call, more damage or more survivability via W.
Putting this post on the boards gives folks who think he is fine as well as those that think he is OPAF equal opportunity to critique the idea. I want to try and target frustration with out destroying the champion. I feel this change adds counter play, still rewards skilled usage, keeps a lot of the ability's utility, and would be open to future number changes to ensure viability of the champion.
Your in the camp he is fine as is. I agree but I also see that for years now people keep complaining about him. So aight, ima try to approach the conversation and look for a constructive way to do it besides "REMOVE THIS CHAMP FROM THE GAME" "WTF WAFFLES YAS OP! CT IS EVIL". If your cool with discussing something hypothetical with me, how about it? What compensation do you think would actually be needed to balance this? what is a min # of shots blocked level 1 for it to operate with any usefulness?
If your Riot and your looking for a way to nerf frustration in yas's kit with out gutting his viability how would you go about it? This is my idea for that.
I want to break the Yas vs anti yas conversation up from constant arguments of person A telling person B "your wrong!" See if there's a common ground to be reached.
