This game needs voice chat badly

Overwatch has it, Xbox Live has it, why don't we have a link up to use our microphones? Why do we have to use third party applications and ask the party to join the room so everyone can talk, which no one ever does.

Every game would go 10x smoother, if everyone were able to hear voices and listen to one or two shot callers, instead of typing every command out or trying to ping everything. This game is made to be a team game, but lacks the most fundamental way of communicating with your team, by voice.

Optional voice chat seems good. It'ed be better than having everyone download discord / curse / skype / mumble / oovoo / teamspeak / AOL's voice extentionator 30000

Everyone seems to give 3rd party options when the easiest solution is to work towards an in game VOIP.

I get it, you're scared of toxic players being more toxic on voice chats... screaming and what not! But you have to realize that toxic players are just as likely to rage / quit and be toxic with OR without a mic. Don't kid yourselves, Riot will put in a mute function to voices if they put a VOIP in the game.

If there's a mute button, and you can opt in and out of the voice session WHILE in game, I see no reason not to have it.

no. It would be worse. You want to hear a bunch of idiots cussing at each other?

That's my thought. I barely want to read chat because of all the raging children who play the game. I sure as hell don't want to listen to them.

My volume is turned up just loud enough to hear pings over my Spotify and that's how I like it.

This can easily be done if you guys just hook up on discord then queue up as a premade.

not everyone has those downloadable features, nor will bother to do so, as evidence, who actually hooks up on discord or whatever on league of legends unless they are a 5 man team who know each other? no one does

Um, never used it, but pretty sure you can just use the site.

Also, if you're a duo that really wants to chat, I'm sure you're motivated enough to have Discord on a tab.

i agree man i just had a game where we were at baron and then half the team suddenly left to go fight near mid, 2 of us ( me included ) ended up dying to baron whilst the rest of our team died in the fight. later on there was a split arguement, half our team said we should have fought because the enemy twitch could have wiped us, and the other half said we should have continued with baron because it was already very low, in those moments a voice chat can really help give sudden awareness. the only thing in game chat does are tactical or strategic statements in advance, it doesn't allow sudden or momentary choices

Not everyone wants to voice chat with random idiots
