This nerf would've nerfed her ability to harass in a solo lane, and would've only had a marginal effect on her support role.
On the other hand, the HP nerfs and W nerfs have hurt her support role much more than mid/top.

Abyssphere2 votesI'm not sure how nerfing her AA range would be a more impactful nerf for her solo lanes than her support role. As a support one of her main responsibilities is poking the enemy, whereas in solo lanes it's perfectly acceptable for her to ignore them and simply farm minions. Seems to me like her auto attack range is a lot more important bot lane than mid/top.

That's opposite, it would have a way bigger effect on support when getting closer to the target means you're more likely to enter two zones of threat instead of one.

Seraphic Siren1 votesI agree, most of the chance you do not auto and harass that easily. You will get minions aggro and you either have to aim precisely with your Q in trade or you will lose trade by getting autoed by minions, adc and support
