I dont understand the Ahri complaints

She is weaker than she was before DFG (yay for nerfs on top of nerfs). And everyone is complaining that she is too strong now? I'm sorry but have you tried an assassin with a dash. You know the ones that can pretend Ahri doesn't have a charm. Zed Talon Yasuo Katarina Fizz. And then we can include people like Annie Galio Morgana TwistedFate Azir

Also all she has is early game. So take away that and what do you have left? A 9 tailed fox girl that runs around with her boobs out all game that can't even play her role. She lost a ton of damage for the play style Riot gave her and falls off into late game. I don't understand is this just another case of OMG A LANE BULLY WE CAN'T HAVE THAT. And trying to gut them like they did to Darius (yes he was the only Juggernaut to be worse off somehow, even though Morde is having an identity crisis)

She's just the new forum topic to whine about, changes every week. Just ignore it.

She's not weaker than she was. That's silly...

She is much weaker. I'm not sure how much you realize losing about 44% of your damage means. (20% on charm and 20% on DFG and they amped each other yielding 2% (of your max hp) extra damage and some of that was true damage being amped). So you think her having an extra 100-200 damage on her W and ult (less if they all hit the same target, and also they like to go for farm a lot instead of champs) really matters when she lost about 600 damage in a combo including true damage? She lost 12% of your max hp just from DFG removal.

How she was compensated was

  1. the Q MS was added
  2. Her mana costs were lowered

I still want you to answer what she is supposed to do if she doesn't have an early game and she doesn't have a late game. Removing the MS boost on her Q removes her early game. Not sure how much people seem to realize that is her early game. Once team fights break out she falls off.

If anything Luden's is just poking its head again screaming "I'm DFG 2.0 with 0 counter play because I don't lack a down time and do more damage against people that actually matter". Maybe it's time Riot calls Mulligan and drop's Luden's base damage.

Ahri is one of the strongest mids in the game right now. This thread is ridiculous.

Ahri is a lot weaker than she originally was. Her scaling and bases got reduced a lot, doesn't have a % damage increase.

If she hadn't been nerfed, you'd be looking at a current Ahri doing between 25-44% more damage while still being relatively safe. She's actually gotten a lot weaker, as during her peak she was up against champions that could kill you in under 1 seconds all the time.. And she had a win rate of over 50% back then

Not really. As everyone always says. Safe does not equal strong. Orianna is an example of a strong mid laner right now. But of course you know not everyone is willing to put in the effort to learn harder champs so they complain when someone who is easier to play dominates them. Ahri is picked for the same reason as Lee, Maokai, Leona, Caitlyn, and more. Because she is safe. And sometimes you have to abuse the fact that they are very safe and pick someone stronger or better suited to you comp. Ahri contributes very little to a team comp where as someone like Orianna Lux Annie Azir Brand Cassiopeia Anivia Lissandra Syndra Veigar all offer a lot more. The question is are you going to let the Ahri abuse her power aka either let her abuse her safety. Or are you going to stall her out and then overpower her after you hit your spike. Becase picking someone like Velkoz Orianna into Ahri may not yield you the best lane, but because Ahri is so safe she can't force kill you and if you stall it out or wait for misplays you can easily abuse your bigger power late game or even snowball on her.

Sometimes you have to bait people, you can't just force win a lane. I'm not talking about baiting for teammates. I'm talking making the enemy confident without feeding them and then turning on them when they thought they were in control.

The reason Ahri has shot up in popularity is the assassin meta has finally blown over and she is the safest and easiest mid to learn after her kit got changed.

I stopped reading after reading this. Ahri had a 53.9% win rate and was picked 25.2% of the time at Master+ level. That high a win rate while being that popular is pretty clear evidence she is both safe and strong. So I'll say again, this thread is ridiculous.

In terms of burst, she's a little weaker but she is more mobile now.

I hate laning against Fizz as Ahri. Playful trickster the most annoying skill in the game. Yasuo can easily block your charm even if he's cut out. Katarina is katarina. Leblanc's kit is good against Ahri but she's a little nerfed atm.

54% win rate in Plat+ that hasn't been any lower than that for at least 3 years. Yeah, she is SO weak. She is so safe with her CC and mobility that you can blind pick her mid.

She"s really safe in lane. You can blind pick her.Even if you get counterpicked ,np just sit back and free farm all day.You get poke ,np just spellwamp evrything back.EASY

Ahri traded a bit of her mid-late game burst for a MASSIVE boost to her ability to both avoid enemy attacks and escape from ganks.

Her early game got buffed tremendously in exchange for lower over all burst once mid-game rolled around. Her win-rate immediately spiked up to around 56% until Riot wholloped her with the nerf bat.

Ahri has lost damage over the patches

Fuck, everyone has lost damage over time. Except possibly Anivia. I can't recall her ever getting nerfed in any fashion aside from her mana costs.

No noobs would rather complain about a champion that kills them, because they can't dodge skill shots. they probably haven't realized the game requires a mouse and the whole time have been using their labtop track pad. She's one of the most balanced champions in the game and yet kids still cry.
