The main problem with tank ekko.
Look, the kid has too much CC and thats pretty much the entire reason tank ekko has remained so good despite numerous nerfs to him. even yasuo is not this overloaded, and dont get me wrong, yas is pretty overloaded. he does NOT need all of that CC ONTOP of his insane mobility, its just idiotic and i cant believe you guys let it pass in internal testing and PBE and its even more dumbfounding that nothing is being done even now, as if you guys seriously dont know how to address him.
His CC needs gutting, particularly in his W. i propose that the 40% slow is removed ENTIRELY from his W but leave the stun the same, maybe even buff it slightly to compensate. Next is his passive, which is another reason tank ekko is so ridiculous.
>slowing them by 30 / 40 / 50 / 60% for 2 / 2.5 / 3 seconds. Against enemy champions, Ekko also gains Z-Drive Resonance 2 50 / 60 / 70 / 80% bonus movement speed for 2 / 2.5 / 3 seconds.
a giant slow ontop of a giant movespeed buff? why? was the 80% move speed really not enough? no one thought this was too much in testing? well im here to tell you it is too much, WAY too much. i propose that the slow scales with AP. this way if ekko builds full tank he wont have the slow, but he will still have the movespeed. maybe cap the slow at 40-50% because even if you were to make it scale with AP the 60% is still too much.
these are just my suggestions and can be taken with a grain of salt, but the main point that NEEDS to be understood here is that
has far too much utility, damage, and mobility in his kit. something has to fucking give.
i know you guys have this mentaility of "oh, his kit is really overloaded but its fine because of his steep learning curve! it will take awhile for people to figure him out" so you release kits like this, but that line of thinking needs to stop. im not going to sit here and tell you guys how a champion should be released, but i will say that players, no matter how hard the champion is to play, will figure out how to play that champion at its fullest potential eventually. ekko, yasuo, tahm, kindred, and azir are 5 prime and recent examples. stop making overloaded kits.
