Just watched the LCK game of Gen G vs MVP... where MVP Yondu picked Amumu. They ended with a crushing defeat in a short time. Led me to think about the game where Zoe in her current state is allowed to exist and yet many champions such as Amumu struggled below the S tier and are auto considered "Troll Pick" when its off meta.

should champions vary so much in strength?

its sad that the season started with so many exciting crazy picks and now its settled into this non-viewer-friendly-boring meta again...

He builded ap amumu but played him like he was builded as a tank.

I call poor execution first off. He was behind in cs compared to sejuani which is completly crazy when amumu is one of the best farmer. He was legit trolling honestly. He maxed E instead of Q on ap mumu which makes no sense at all. Overall, I don't think we can judge amumu state on that specific game. Also, amumu is at the center of the attention, masking the fact that the whole team sucked.

Amumu hasn't ever been meta in pro play, he is too susceptible to counterjungling.

It has. But they nerfed him very quickly making his ultimate cover a smaller zone. Then we never saw him again in pro play.

Agreed, Amunu definitely needs a decent buff, not the one they are releasing in 8.16...
