An early analysis on Bard

All I can say is... OH GOD. Until he's beaten in an alleyway with a nerf bat, he's going to be horrifying to face, if you happen to encounter a good Bard. PRAY you never encounter a good Bard!

  1. I learned early on that you can use the tunnel to not just escape and cross gaps quickly, but also self-flank enemies that are trying to escape. Because there's no limit on the length of the tunnel, he can cross a huge portion of the map without burning Flash or Talisman of Ascension.
  2. Combined with a Sheen item and Luden's Echo, he hits like a truck, doubly so if he's been diligent about collecting chimes. AND the chimes add an Iceborne Gauntlet-esque slow. Really, his Meeps function as a secondary Sheen item.
  3. The movement speed buff from collecting chimes stacks, and if used properly, he starts to gain and even exceed Hecarim speeds! To speak nothing of haste...
  4. His ult isn't just for saving allies or using as a makeshift Ohmwrecker. It also functions as a two second stun, allowing you to catch up to them or reposition yourself to stun them with his Q the instant they come out of the effect.
  5. When you're fighting against Bard, the terrain is not your ally. Your minions are not your ally. Your allies are not your ally. Properly timed Q stuns will RUIN you.

He came out like moments ago. You haven't met a good Bard.

That's why this is called "An early analysis", not "The Absolute Meta Word of God LCS Top Pick Nerf Rito", and I can project, forecast and hypothesize, based on my own bit of experience playing him, how big of a threat he could potentially be.
