low risk vs high risk reward in league

I know that league has been dumbed down a bit since I first started league, Even having to rework champions just so other can be created. Kindred Poppy but it's gotten kind of rediculous.

Champions like lucian who can be support like for the ad assassins item 3071 meaning even if he's completely useless all game he can still provide armor reduction. This continues with Champions like Trundle.

Because top laners take undying it ultimately reduces the power of a champion like Riven Who just got yet again another in direct nerf from the ferocity tree being nerfed. I'd consider her, kalista by far the most high risk champions.

Others like lulu or tristana force you to play with a different mind set when farming. They're still surviving the meta, but The games become less and less about "outplayed" and more of " woah I can heal 700 hp on olaf with spirit using just item 3174 " baited~

I think if the game allowed sight stone to be sold for more then a lousy 260/ 800 initial payment people would buy it more and would just kill off any sort of graves jungle. It's either that or allow more silences in the game for the support so hyper carries can still dominate. Soraka silencing zed xD

I think zed as well as fizz are prototypes of trying to rework the high reward by allowing the only way to stop their ultimates is by zhongya's or your own form of invulnerability. rather then qss and done. So they keep trying to nerf individual parts of their kit without the acceptance that the reason their other damage skills do so much Is because of the amplified damage with their ultimates.

I'm sorry for rambling on. but I just don't get it. a random teemo main~

Dumbed down how exactly? I read your post but saw nothing to do or that refers to that

My apologies, I really didn't. basically The champions of low risk outway the higher risk champions because of how well they trade. A riven may be able to do a decent amount of damage early game, but a tank say shen can survive because of shields and a undying which steals well doing % health damage. On the other hand for adc's I see just jhin, ezreal, or lucian being played, The thing is that They have easy wave clear and often force players to build shiv first to build in order to combat it.

The problem being Your not building damage early and the supports that are poke don't have the damage to allow you to rush an infinity edge. So by the time people are grouping mid and your trying to build your 2nd item Your still behind and you can't rely on getting kills Because it can't always happen.

That's why they are low risk, because no matter the outcome they will still be useful Where a kalista relies on her support much more and her previous ad nerfs still effect her She is fine with skill shots, but again her dueling power isn't strong tell late game where all 3 of the others don't worry of.

Basically why cripple yourself when you can pick the low risk and ensure that your mmr or kda w.e will get higher even if your truly not as skilled as the other players.
