The question lies in what is her true niche? It can't be invulnerability, plenty of champs have stoled that aspect well being able to do damage with it. Her Q? the low range slow that used to do damage a long time ago, but doesn't anymore. her W and E are okay, but when you look at why you would want to pick her the only thing that she can provide is a very niche invulnerability to an ally. Something can do to an entire team. Unless your ally is at death's door to a zed mark it's just there.

It's kinda sad. Even more when you own plenty of kayle's skins. Though I can't remember the last time I'd see a kayle outside of aram and someone upset because they couldn't reroll. I shouldnt say invulnerable since she can be cc'd, but in truth that makes it even worse to say.

For me, the niche she has is being a supportive hypercarry (something that might seem awkward, if only because ad carries haven't really needed to help the rest of their team in a while outside of damage). I'd personally like to see a bit of a mini-rework on her, potentially changing that q and w while having the ulti apply both to herself and one ally she targets.

in all honestly she's supposed to be a top laner melting turrets, her ult makes her a tank for a split seconds, she can be played as support i guess.

Zed is a cheese champ, Kayle requires a whole lot more skill than her because you only need to w+r with zed

While I do believe Kayle badly needs a VGU, I think her particular niche is fascinating and unique. She's a utility carry, but different from the way Ashe is a utility carry. Kayle offers the same type of utility as a support, but has the team fighting power of a carry. Which is WILD and unique to really only Kayle (there are some other champions who do things similar to her, but not on the same level). She also excels as an on-hit champion which I personally believe we don't have enough of in this game (There's Teemo and.... Kind of Master Yi but to be honest I think he's better with just crit builds).

tl;dr: I think Kayle is an interesting champion with an interesting design space (supportive carry) but much of her kit leaves poor counter-play options who is also feat or famine, often ending up as an unstoppable killing machine or an ult-bot and usually not anywhere in between.

Hopefully she and Morg get their VGU after Irelia. (I'd especially like this since they could finally fix Aether Wing Kayle's janky animations and also give it a real voice over)

They confirmed a while back her R is 100% gonna go when she gets her duel update with Morgana. They don't like how strong it is for no mana and a big range. Kayle is supposed to get a full rework as well as her visuals, Morg is I think just getting a small update with full graphics overhaul because she looks like sin.

In all Kayle is a champ I want to at more of but something just feels off. Honeslty I kinda hope they make her work as a bit lane carry because with the new updated champ select that shows you what people pick in what lane as an indicator of what is viable, bot has the smallest pool since Teemo, Urgot, and Graves have been moved out of the bot lane carry slot. I think Kayle could be a really interesting addition to the bot lane carry space as the first maybe pure AP bot carry.
