Advice for match ups in ranked

If you see a champion and you're not sure what to play, think of someone who you think will do well that you're experienced and comfortable with. DO NOT look up their counter and pick it if you're not used to that champ. I played against a Swain today as Vlad (Swain counters him hard) but this guy had no idea how Swain worked and ended up wasting his mana just for me to Q heal it all back and he lost. This isn't the only time, I've played Riven into Darius, Trynd into Teemo, Yasuo into Zed, and every time it's because they just google up "[insert champion] counter". If you want to be able to do that, look up the counters for popular champs and practice them in normals/team builder so you're able to win as them. Remember guys, even the hardest counters can lose their lane; learn the strengths/weaknesses and how/why they counter. Good luck climbing everyone :D

I'm in low silver this season, was in bronze before, and it's skill but generally zed has an easier time if you're equal. If Yas is about to knock you up, just R and he'll miss it and can't use his ult for at least 4 seconds. Giving you more than enough time as Zed to inflict enough damage.

and as soon as zed ults dash around and windwall his shurikens destroying a large portion of the damage from his ultimate making it almost wasted. Complete skill match-up

I make sure I'm close to minions as Yas or I can't dash away. When I play Zed into Yas I try to get them to the side so they have one dash only but I get ya man.

I usually look up counters, and see if any of the champions I'm experienced with are counters. If none of them are counters I go my main girl Lux and hope for the best xD

I just pick the most logical champ in my champ pool to "counter" said champion. I'm not going to play a champ that I've played a few times in ranked.

Once, someone "countered" my Trundle pick with a Hiemer. I'm pretty comfortable with Trundle I think he picked Heimer for a easy lane. I didn't win lane my killing him, I won it by out farming him hard. I guess he thought turrets would last hit for him.

That's what I do in a lane like that, just farm and then late game you do your job in the team fight. Whenever I'm behind or can't snowball as Riven I build her tanky ( item 3748 item 3053 item 3742 item 3022 item 3065 ) and initiate.

That Trundle game I rushed item 3111 item 3065 item 3153 i believe it was that order.

I typically go for the more Team oriented Choices. Sure you can try to counter the enemy, or you can make the best team comp. If I find my self mid lane with no tank on our team, I will pick Lulu. Because she can turn any member on her team into a tank with her ult.
