Clearing the air once and for all on how Master Yi is bullshit when played correctly

A lot of people just dont grasp how MasterYi actually does come and kill everyone

MasterYi "Oh but he cant gank early.. he cant 1v5.. hes punished heavy by crowd control.. hes predictable.. "

That is the typical genetic response from anyone defending him

His functionality in the entire game is simply to farm and farm and farm.. and then gank

then you farm and farm and farm some fkin more, you start to split push a lane bit and then gank

then you farm and farm and farm and suddenly something magical happens

your around 3 lvls above anyone in the enemy comp and you simply show up at the right place at the right time and bingo you got a triple kill why? because you have 3 levels on the enemy and you have true damage, AOE damage while being briefly un target-able, and the speed to clean it all up to only resume farming afterwards. Feeling Any deja vu yet?

"how is he lvl 15 when were all like lvl 11 - 12"

^^^Pretty sure some of you have gasped at that thought and wondered.

"But any good jungle can show up and do stuff like that"

MasterYi He does it the best and mechanically he is as linear as it goes so yeah that's why hes bullshit in bronze as well in higher elo when played RIGHT. That's why i will never in my life take a "MasterYi is so not strong/OP thread" seriously.

ok... no idea what the point of this thread even is? to say that Yi is strong when he is allowed to do what he wants? he is a very one dimensional champion, it is very easy to predict what he is going to do. He is also a very feast or famine champion. He needs to get ahead early in order to do well in the later stages of the game. Any hard CC will demolish him since it can stop him while he is ulted or get him out of his heal. He does well when ahead, terrible when behind and is a minor annoyance when even.

First off farming like that works very poorly now with the buff respawn timers. The current jungle meta is about the early game and how the jungle is designed is about using the FOW to create outnumber scenarios and kill people. Why do you think bloodrazor junglers barely see play high elo?

And if you are 3 levels ahead of the enemy team and you show up at the exact right time, then You've played extremely well. Why shouldn't you be rewarded?

That's exactly the point you never HAVE to play extremely well you can make one macro decision and suddenly the game is in your favor any other jungler can just farm like him but end up being useless. MasterYi has so much in his kit and being gold reliant its like facing a ticking bomb you can ignore its existence or be aware but if you dont do something then it will explode. Vayne for example HAS to face obstacles BEFORE she reaches the end result other wise her winrate would be higher at lower time marks she has to endure the "lane phase" and be present around the team sharing exp and hogging whatever cs she can manage without being picked off alone. She doesn't contain the safety net of farming in fog of war like MasterYi does. When a late scaling champion has no blockade while farming your macro decisions pay off ten fold just from farming. Sure you can reward a good play style but when the reward outshines others doing the same thing you get an unfair advantage.

So you're telling me graves, khazix, LEESIN and Elise players never counter jungle? And lategame? In this meta? What the fuck is lategame?

So you're telling me Yi plays well, somehow his team isn't behind as fuck because the enemy team has a jungler that ganks, and makes good macro plays shouldn't be rewarded? What the fuck?

what is the point of this garbage shitpost

I should have rephrased. Why make such a long shitpost about something you're completely wrong about?

I definitely agree that Yi needs to be looked at. :)

What I've found out with my time on the forum, people don't respect your opinion and force their opinion down your throat practically.

It doesn't matter how supposedly bullshit he is when played correctly, there are still like 80 others ahead of him in terms of optimal performance, if not more. I mean, he is almost never seen in high elo and practically just never seen in tourneys for a reason.

So maybe, just maybe, Yi isn't bullshit at all.

...............

Let's be real, Yi's a very handicapped champion with all things considered, in comparison to his other hypercarry kins and just most of the roster in general. He has an incredibly 1 dimensional and thus utterly predictable and inflexible kit, weak base and early as he is a late game champ, very squishy throughout all stages of the game unless super late game, has 0 CC as in actually just none, insane CD length with refresh gated behind rather harsh conditions (in terms of Yi), insane mana costs in current League standards, and no escape options (unless you count self-rooting, a very situational use of his one and only engage tool, or running backwards "escape options"), etc; that's not great at all, it's bad. Just because he could still work, somewhat barely, it doesn't make him "bullshit when played correctly". No, it doesn't work like that.

Seriously, even your analogy is silly. If you actually let a Yi, or ANYONE for that matter, to go completely unchecked to the point they actually and somehow gain 3 extra levels above everyone by farming mobs and minions alone (which is just flat out impossible really unless you're playing in Paper Division 5 or something), you obviously and 100% deserve to have your ass whooped by them.
