Tiger Udyr Ever Decent?

You're asking if one of a champion's 4 available moves is useful. Yes, it is. Many situations. All of them. All of his stances are useful in all situations. It's knowing which order and how long to stay in each one.

Depends on who you're going up against. Also depends on if you're jungling.

I pretty much always run Tiger, unless I see the entire enemy team is building Armor, then I'll start using phoenix.

Tiger is for cheese laning and invasions. Phoenix is simply safer to use atm due to how much more damage it does in a tank build.

Most of the time, playing Udyr involves choosing between Tiger or Phoenix stance, and ignoring the other for most of the game. Each has its pros and cons. Tiger is the single greatest level 1 dueling skill in the game, followed closely by Kha'Zix's Taste Their Fear skill. Tiger stance is Udyr's best single-target DPS skill, and Phoenix is better at AoE damage, making it faster for clearing the jungle, though offering less damage in many champion vs champion situations. If you're building to do damage, Tiger is probably your best bet. If you're going heavily into tank stats, Phoenix is likely to offer more damage over the course of the game.

Tiger is amazing for early game pressure. Invading the enemy jungler, since with proper stance rotations you'll come out of a full clear at full health as Udyr, especially Tiger, and applying a lot of pressure to enemy laners. Most cannot out run a bear stance Udyr that early in the game and tiger stance damage is ridiculous, especially when you get off the double tiger dot with red buff.

Tiger falls off mid game for the same reason every melee auto attack fighter falls off, which is why it's played less then Pheonix, which has a weaker early game but stupid fast clear speeds to make up for it and kicks off mid-late game.

But yeah, early game Tiger Udyr is ridiculously powerful, but you have to actually do stuff or you'll just fall off.

If you are playing udyr top, and you see it is a laner that you can outduel then tiger can be pretty good to max. It's much better for dueling than pheonix, but pheonix is better for clearing, pushing waves, and on tank builds.

when you wanna beat the shit outa some mtherfkers and rape towers you pick tiger see how kickass udyr is just using phoenix? he would be even better if he had gone tiger instead >:U people tend to pick phoenix to push waves faster so they can rape towers sooner that's all :l annd uuh farming of course!
