I went 7-3 in placements and got gold 4. Won my next match (the one you said was fixed) (3/1/17 Mao) bronze 1. What?

Placements gave me g4. Are we really all dropping 2 leagues? That seems a little much.

Gold is usually for plat players but if you are at g5 or p5 with 0 lp then droping another tier is reasonable.

Well I did stop playing on this account after I hit g5. New client said I was about to demoted.

You generally drop a tier after the soft reset from your end of season ranking.

If you ended last season in Gold 5, being placed in Bronze 1 is relatively normal.

This occurred last season too and Riot explicitly stated that people were expected to drop when discussing it. They even included a little popup in the client which you had to close before doing anything explaining this after patch 6.22.

The thing that just confuses me is it said g4 but now it's b1. Was the system THAT off?

Diamond players were getting placed in Bronze.

Bronze players were getting placed in Gold.

Silver players were being matched with and against Diamond players.

Yes, the system was severely fucked.

Hopefully, this fixes it.

Against I can see because MMR reset. But placed in? That's crazy.
