Damage. And you build resists against the other damage source they have, which is probably ad. Even fiora is only going to have like 1/5 of her damage done as true damage in the end of game stats.

fun fact, someone made a fiora post where they had the maximum attack possible on her, she could deal 50% max health true damage a hit XD

Yeah I saw the thread. It involved stacking overpowered ad items that only existed in a featured game mode and getting shielded by a janna who had over 1000 ap.

Riot doesn't want you to bulid against %HP true damage. They want you to play against it.

Stop Fiora doing true damage to you by outplaying her and itemise against her physical damage (still the majority of her damage in game). That's what you can do.

Fiora and Vayne are meant to be outplayed, not itemized against. Don't let them do their damage for free. Trade back, use CC, and kill them if you can.

You don't build to tank that, you build to avoid that. %health true damage will always hurt. That's what it's supposed to do.

Build MS, position yourself correctly, don't let her proc her marks for free. Or as others said, just out-damage her and kill her before.

Actually sustained damage is way better against fiora, like fiora can W all of rengars damage or annie stun, but she can't really mitigate rumbles damage,

Unless you just stack hard cc mercilessly, but that works on literally every champion

I've played a lot of Taric top with great results against AD glass cannons like Riven Jax and even tankier ones like Renekton (if they happen to build damage before tankiness.) Do you think he would also be a good option against a Fiora?

Lifesteal, spellvamp can help, but she has more burst than you. You simply can't duel the duelist. Thornmail used to be a good item, i wouldnt bet on it today. Unless you are far ahead not much you can do. You wish to have cc, escapes and safe waveclear in your kit. Hold on your turret, don't loose it in any circumstances. You need your team to win against a Fiora team. Work as a teamate, keep ur objective up, she isn't great in teamfight, if you can avoid a splitpushing threat, you already did a lot to win.

In the case of Vayne item 3143 item 3110 for the attack speed slow, vs Fiora item 3140 because it removes her ultimate, other than that it's champion specific.
