Twinity Ferce1 votesNnnnno? Do you even know what massive difference there is between the two items? One gives a ridiculously strong passive, lots of AP and mana, the other gives a small sum of flat AD.
If the book would get grievous wounds as well, then the executioner would need to get armor pen. Nobody wants that.

It'd just make more sense to sacrifice like 1/2 the mana and passive power for GW too.
The fact that you don't have access to GW as a mage until 2900g is an unnecessary disadvantage.
