Just Played Support Poppy

what was the team comp because if it was a cait ali thresh or something with any mobility then of course but she's mostly a niche pick in the support role

Poppy top is fun against Riven, makes that battle bunny bitch cry.

I find that if you have at least 1 AoE Hard CC and 1 Soft CC, you can support with them. Heck, Varus and Aatrox Support can work as well.

She can be a decent support but she has the same weaknesses of most tanks in the support role in that they can be aggressively poked out of lane if your opponents play smart. If you can land wall stuns, she has decent All-Ins, but they're not as easy or as effective as Leona, Nautilus or Thresh.

The thing I actually like to take her for is her Dash Cancel. Leona can't hook you and can't touch your ADC if you are close enough to them, because you cancel her dash with the press of the button. I thought it wouldn't work against Nautilus (thought you would be stunned), but it worked quite routinely on his hook. I know it blocks Alistar and have yet to try it on Thresh. I've also canceled a lot of would-be ganks by pesky junglers and mid laners that try to get to my ADC. Lucian can't dash to engage or escape. Trist can't Rocket Jump. She definitely has her fair share of usefulness simply because of that W.
