The take a APC in place of support is getting out of control

I was fine when those APC supports were only Zyra Annie BrandVelkoz with a sprinkle of high AP builds on Sona Lulu

But now I am starting to see more of these types of supports Malzahar Anivia Lux Xerath Veigar Leblanc Heimerdinger and they do just as good in botlane as they would in their proper lane because their base damages are insane enough for you to take more then half someones HP at level 2, it takes me like 20 mins and a fully geared AP build to deal half a squishys HP as Sona, and remember that Sona's base damage has been hit countless times on both her Q and Passive

I feel like most mages need a look into their base damages, this also would include Zyra and Brand too because they are doing some redic damage early too, compensate with a few AP ratio buffs and get these role stealers out of here, or perhaps leave some open slots for some champions who have literally no role in this game (cough cough Fiddlesticks )

oh no diversity make it go away

Fairly certain that there is diversity in the support role already without a entire class being injected there It's not season 2 anymore, there are more then 3 playable supports

im all for support diersity but those champions shouldnt be in support role unless they get damage cuts like everyone else or tanks get item buffs and support tanks get damage buffs

It would be getting out of control if they were actually outperforming traditional supports, but they're not. Sona's damage was hit because that wasn't meant to be what she was there for, she was meant to be a support that buffs several of her allies. Having mages bot is fine as long as it isn't stopping traditional supports from seeing play and being effective.

Fidds needs a VGU

Autofill. That is why you see it. That is why it will last as long as autofill is in the game.

True, but this needs to not be the solution

If i got autofilled jungle and played Sona anyway, I would be fucked They should not be that effective enough to force a back 1 minute into lane when you both positioned correctly but got caught by an ability that does 120 damage getting comboed into another 120 damage spell with thunderlords

How did you position correctly if you were hit by a telegraphed skillshot? That's pretty much the definition of incorrect positioning.

I like role variation so I enjoy the AP ADCs/supports.

  • They do 'okay' botlane, but by no means - do they EVER do as well as they would playing mid-lane, with a line full of farm - your exaggerating big time. That being said, it IS feasible to play one bot, and rely on gp5 items and do alright.
  • Would definitely be okay with seeing more mid champions having stronger late-game themed kits/ratios... Xerath falls off horribly late game.
  • Eh, 'role stealers' isn't really fair, AP mages have been coming bot support for awhile. It's just becoming much more prominent.
  • Traditional supports are just as viable as they always have been (Few could use some buffs!) but .. I don't see this as a problem. **If anything, it will hopefully result in a few deserved mage nerfs. **

Shield supports building redemption and locket are much stronger right now.
