If there was a minimum range away from enemy champions, Cait would still retain her role as a safer adc who can siege well later on, but lose the kill pressure she has in lane (when following up on a support's initiation).
If they armed instantly then sure, that'd be a problem, but they don't. It's the same as chaining any other form of CC together. My favorite thing is to place under a zhonya'd enemy or on one that is teleporting in.
The traps already have a 1.1s arm time, you can literally walk out of it if she places it on top of you without boots on any champion.
There is nothing wrong with caitlyn atm, you guys just want every adc to be trash tier.

Cait's traps are obnoxious, but they aren't what is wrong with her.
