My Issue with the Juggernaut Reworks is what Riot thinks makes a Juggernaut.
Nasus. Darius. Garen. Skarner. When you think brute force, these champions should come to mind: powerful, durable, immobile and melee. They’re League’s hulking titans who, come late game, turn into super tanky carries who’ll pretty much destroy anyone foolish enough to get in their way.
The term 'Juggernaut' actually brings to mind Olaf and Udyr. Champions who are rewarded for getting on Top of Enemies by being able to stick mercilessly to them. The only thing a Carry should have over Bruisers and Juggernauts alike is a Range Advantage. Once that Range Advantage no longer exists via Mobility (Bruisers) or Soft CC in combination with mild MS boosts/Hard CC (Juggernauts), the only way to keep them alive is being peeled for by your team.
This is where my issues with the Juggernaut Reworks come in. What has Riot done to assist these champions being able to overcome range disadvantages and aid in sticking to targets?
Darius? Nothing. Garen? Nothing. Mordekaiser? Nothing. Skarner? Next to nothing.
Literally all I ever wanted for Mordekaiser was maybe a bit of % Movement Speed while his Ult is active, or perhaps a Furor Passive on his Q. I would have been happy with this. Mordekaiser would be strong with this even prior to those stupid changes Riot made to him a while ago.
