How do I win?

Please this isn't supposed to be a whine post, but I genuinely want to know, how do I win a game where it feels unwinnable? (check Poppy game)

You don't. Sometimes you lose.

Then what's the fairness of provisionals if I'm paired with people like these? I know I won't win every game, but does Riot like try to base every game off of how good my opponents were and how good my team was, and adjust my rank according to that?

Just get better at this game or you can rage and blame and stay low elo.

kill death ratio means nothing objectives, ganking no matter what lane your in. warding deep jungle to give team more info, grouping when ahead, split pushing when you can 1v1 anyone. also Poppy is not a hard carry and with out a decent team will lose. Singed Singed your job is to get those that need feed and protecting the person who is doing your damage your job is to be in the right place at the right time, noticing your lane leave and following. flanking with bruisers is always good. learn safe run routes. theres a lot but if you got any brains you might have a shot to win a game

Would you like to watch a replay of the game? I already saw my mistakes, and how I can improve them, but if there is any you can see I'd appreciate any information.

Change your summoner icon to a cute highschool grill and tell your teammates that's you.

Generally ppl then will tryhard and sacrifice themselves for your benefit.

kill death ratio means nothing

This. A low KD ratio doesn't mean the player is bad and a good KDA doesn't mean the player is playing well either. KDA is a meaningless stat in a vacuum, it doesn't say what happened in a game much less if anyone was any good. It's only a footprint left behind, a remnant of events that is meaningless without context.

Did you make this thread because you really, truly, want to improve? If so, then we talk. If not, don't bother reading anymore because it's advisement and criticism and criticism is what you say you want. If you just want to play the game, just do that.

Don't talk about your teammates, don't even think about them, because you are not going to be playing with them again so we need to focus on you. There is always more that you could do. You may not be able to win every game, but there are things you can do to improve your chances of winning, in every game. Even this one. There's always more you can correct in your play.

Let's look at context. I looked at that match and there's something amiss. Look at Shen. Why is there only one Poppy kill on Shen? That should not have happened.

Look at him, that Shen was being so greedy and so reckless with what he was doing, it's not allowable. You punish that. Shen should not have done as well as he did that game. You need to punish him for his mistakes, you needed to make it so you wouldn't just win lane, you crush him. You could have turned that game into 5v4 for your team and have made him absolutely useless. You know, people always whine on here about how their teammates are holding them down. Well, they don't recognize that the reverse is actually the one that is true; if you play well you can make the game easier on your team. You can play well and make it easier on your team, get them ahead of their opponents and prevent their deaths. Because you could get so far ahead of Shen you would demand attention. If the jungler was top, because Shen has been feeding and spam pinging "assist me" and probably putting the rest of his team on tilt, Rengar would not be ganking and counter-ganking your team. You beating that Shen into the ground like you could have been, makes it a 5v4. And when you force the jungler to deal with you, you just made your team only have to fight three enemies. Even if your teammates were bad (and they aren't because they are the same level as your enemies) they still know how to use a number advantage and to dog-pile the exposed guy.

Xin can gank for Fizz without any danger of a counter-gank. Or Xin and Fizz roam bot. Or: You get fed, then you force the enemy jungler to deal with you, then your jungler can take dragon, then he gets five stacks, then he gets sated sooner, then you have another damage threat. You could have assisted across the entire map, without ever leaving top lane.
