Ok Riot, I am now on board with people need more something before ranked.

I understand that you don't want to lock people out of ranked when they hit 30 cause maybe their a smurf or have pre existing knowledge of MoBas.

But jesus, I haven't had a fresh lvl 30 in a ranked game since like Season 4. I just got a fresh dude who played Donger, proceeds to feed the fuck out of Talon, I didn't realized he was fresh for a bit, I tried to gank right away but he didn't do anything, just stood there. He then just dies. over and over, Lee walks up, he just stands there, takes a Lee Q and Talon Q to the face and dies, about 3 or 4 times. So now my jungle is unsafe. I ganked for our Nasus 3 times and he at least did something I guess, but eventually I fall behind and just do awful. I'm ok with that, with doing bad, having a bad game, because I can make up for it, or if it's a rough start I can hold in their and just go tank and be a engage bot.

I try to gank bot but by this time Lee and Talon are in my jungle waiting for me or just overpowering my bot lane. Donger Tps into the middle of Bot lane, while our bot lane is pushed in and they just turn and kill him.

I'm ok with people having awful games, we all do, idc who you are, we all have awful games from time to time, but literally not knowing how to play the game and being in ranked should not be allowed.

There has to be a way to know if a player is ready for ranked, or at the very least, start them in bronze, I shouldn't go from playing with Golds and Plats to playing with a brand new player. I literally wanted to cut myself 7 mins in, I've never felt that way in League before because I'm either in normals or it has been so long that it's happened that I prolly deserved to play with that person.

So, someone come up with a way to figure out that a dude with 57 wins from 1-30 isn't A) Ready for ranked or B) Shouldn't be playing with high Silvers/golds.

I'm not saying I'm in anyway mechanically good at this game but, I shouldn't have to deal with someone who has no idea wtf they are doing, I've never complained once about some of the stupid shit I've dealt with in both Normals and Ranked, but this literally takes the cake.

Thank you for reading my rant.

How does it stunt the growth of new players?

Players who do well during their 1-30 usually learn the base mechanics of the game, this person did not. I'm not saying every new player deserves to start bronze or whatever but the game should pick up on if a player should start his placements in brz (be it low, mid, or high) or silver.

I went and spectated games by this dude after the game while I was eating to see if he was perhaps trolling or what have you and he simply just doesn't know what he is doing. He shouldn't be in games with high silvers/golds at all.

His stats thus far are 9/80/22 through 6 games his Cs score averages out to around 3/min and he placed a total of 14 wards (over those 6 games). His latest game does have him with high bronzes/low silvers so the system is doing it's part to a degree but he shouldn't of started that high with only 57 wins on SR at 30. You should start against mid/low silvers and go up or down from there, not against golds (His 1st game was vs 9 other golds). That's just not fair to him either.

I'm not a dick, I understand this game has a steep learning curve, I wasn't toxic to him and I was trying to defend him vs our "Diamond Smurf EZ" and his Lulu, tried to give him tips but he didn't even type or acknowledge them.
