I think Ryze's new ultimate is a bit too strong atm

For you to be able to take not one or even two allies, but your entire team (plus minions that happen to be nearby.) to a new location is a serious problem. This is essentially Tahm on steroids, and is extremely dangerous to be left alone as is. I think a few things should have to happen to justify his ultimate or balance it.

  1. Limit it to 2 allies. This could be dictated by those closest, or possibly let ryze choose two people.
  2. Weaken everyone or at the very least ryze, when they jump. Reduce his damage/tank stats by 15-22% for 2-3 seconds after cast to give the other team a fighting chance. These are just a couple of ideas I had to potentially balance it, as right now I feel this is far too op. (I think this ability is far better designed for a support, not a top laner.)

Haha no way. All or nothing, and it cannot be nothing

does that mean TF ult is better on a support? I don't think it's OP. its hard to use and at rank 1 you can basically cross a wall, max 2 walls.

Tf's ult works on a fighter or an assassin. Tahm's ult works in the support role, and a stronger version would also work on a support best.

Have you actually encountered it to be a problem, or are you just theorizing it to be a problem?

The ryze ults I've seen in game so far have been nothing particularly overwhelming, with a fair share of ulting in only to get insta blown up by the waiting enemy team.

I do believe that it can be countered like most things. It's niche if the enemy team doesn't have the proper comp, but I do see it as a potential problem. Especially since we're seeing less and less heavy CC tanks.

Honestly, his ult should be the least of your worries, this champion can solo dragon/baron and take almost no damage from weaving skills :S
