Can we not bite Riot's head off when new runes are implemented?

I mean, they've been saying for a while now that new runes would break the game. Even if they didn't, I think it would be common sense. In this case, the ends do justify the means. I'm not saying that they should receive no negative feedback, but rather that it should be worded in a manner befitting the term "constructive criticism". So, can we just be calm in our complaints this time around? They've worked long and hard for this; I think they deserve it.

They clearly refused to balance the game pre rune update. What's changing in their balance "philosophy"?

Really though. I hope the boards doesn't just turn into "OMGGGGG _ RUNE IS SO BUSTEDDDDD," but I know how the boards are. I'm ready for the shitfest.

I agree. I think it will be better for game long term. I've only been playing for season 7, but I'm willing to sit out for some crazy this preseason

well... i would hope that before riot releases content they would test it to some degree and be like .. hm this seems too powerful or hmm this seems too weak. which doesnt feel like that happens. i mean, whats the point of putting this stuff in the pbe if nothing comes out of it?

PBE isn't for balancing
They do test it, to the extent that they can, but they can't guarantee anything

Pbe doesn't have the same scale. Pbe is just a lil practicality test, the first patch is the real experiment.

I can't wait for one new rune to dominate the game for 7 patches and then Riot will over-buff others instead of nerfing it. Then they'll gut the first broken one while leaving the others and reworking Ryze and leaving his problematic point and click snare in his kit.
