Can Fizz's ult be dodged?

So,I was watching the LCS today, and saw Fizz. His ult went wide, max range, and indeed it was wide. It was able to block off the mid lane completely. Now,it wasn't dodged,it was clear that it went wide, not even juked. This got me thinking...can Fizz's ult be dodged? Not juked, not badly aimed, but reacting to the damn fish bait, move out of the way and escape the expansion range dodge.

Firstly, every skillshot has a width, damage and speed. I'm adressing the width first. Also ignoring damage because that means it already landed. Now,based on what I've read,Fizz's ult expands and gains damage as it travels and you will receive 100% of the damage if you touch it. http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Fizz/Abilities I have no idea how large Fizz's hitbox is,so I used teemo, the smallest champ in game from what I've heard. W is the Width of his skillshot, circles showing the points of expansion. Touching this latches on the bait to you. T is Teemo's hitbox,in every scenario used it hits him F is Fizz's initial casting point. Please note that the expansion happens where the user decides and does not have to travel the full range. Ie, if they aim at,lets say 200m and you are 400m away,it will expand at the 200m and leave you safe (if you don't have a hitbox, because if youre 1m wide it hits with a radius of 200). However If its aimed at the 400m point and you're there, but your scripts flash to the 200 point when the fish has passed that already, you're banned safe (if you don't have a hitbox because the expansion is now 450). Flash is 425 units. The Pink line is the max distance you can flash. Brown is maximum distance possible walked. Note that, even if you flash,at max range it will always hit you when aimed perfectly. That's the smallest hitbox possible and it's in range. You have 0.73 seconds to react to it at max range,as it travels 1300 units in 1 second. If you do,at average movement speed(325) you will be able to walk 237.25 distance away till it expands. If you Flash at this point, then you're (finally) safe. however your flash has a cooldown of 300 seconds, and his ult does not. http://i.imgur.com/gYyB59M.png (Yes,i used paint,i didn't expect to use my architectural drawing program again so i deleted it because it costs memory.) So there you have it,If Fizz ult's you at the maximum range and you don't have flash or Zhonya's,you're dead, don't bother using QSS. If you have flash, and think you can, please don't if you haven't moved (at least 100 units) away from the point or have a large hitbox. It will find you. An easy fix would be to make it progressively expand like Anivia's ult.

The size of the attaching hitbox does not increase.

Not sure what you mean by the "attaching" hitbox, but the skill is defined as: Fizz throws a lure forward in a line that attracts a shark, causing it to emerge after 2 seconds, dealing magic damage, Airborne icon knocking aside surrounding enemies and Slow icon slowing them for 1.5 seconds. The further the lure travels in its initial flight, the larger the shark that is attracted, increasing its slow, eruption radius and knockback distance.

Guppy (<455): Chomper (455-910) Gigalodon (>910):

provided that it travels 1300 units and "The further the lure travels in its initial flight, the larger the shark that is attracted " I'm pretty sure the hitbox size increases with distance.

If an enemy champion intercepts the lure as it flies, it binds to them and causes the shark to emerge at their position. The lure's holder is Slow icon slowed for the duration and Airborne icon knocked up for 1 second instead of away.

There are also examples like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OlUZBUtgIB4

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lcsa9mzrYas

That show the lure does indeed expand at max range.

Those examples were before it was nerfed twice tho. I think it still increases the hitbox, but not by a lot.

where did i say it attaches after it expands?

I believe this is still true, expert flashing can avoid attached the shark, my reaction time and focus cannot do it though
