Auto-fill enforces toxicity. If you want less harassment in game this feature needs to go.

Honestly, I'm not a toxic person, but I'm feeling more and more accepting of players being harassed for being auto-filled. I know it's not the player's fault and just a side effect of bad design choices, but at the same time, almost everyone including that player has to suffer from it occurring.

I've been honor level 5 two seasons in a row and have never been chat banned, but I feel at the rate it's occurring I'll be banned by the end of the season out of frustration alone. Sad part? I'd never do this normally. Seeing the amount of arguing and toxicity that this adds though is slowly getting to me.

A person who mains a roll will almost always beat an auto-filled player of equal skill. It's one of the most negative feelings in the world knowing your team did great, but the game decided to turn it into a 4 vs 5 from someone being forced into a role they don't know matchups in. That's not a healthy design choice.

Would any Rioter please explain how giving one side an advantage through a matchmaking feature helps the game's growth vs queue times? Won't people be more turned off from negative experiences vs just waiting a bit longer? Tired of seeing the entire game experience ruined and chat turned toxic because you thought I'd be happier saving a minute...

If you want it removed be prepared to wait 15-20 minutes for a match, because nobody wants to be support

Instead of complaining, learn every role as best you can. This way, if someone gets autofilled then maybe, just maybe, you can swap with them and there will be less toxicity.

If everyone would learn 2-4 champions for each lane/role then we honestly wouldn't need to have auto-fill. But not everyone wants to, so we get stuck with people who end up support but cry about it because they're 'not the carry', even though most the time it's the support that carries through helping the team.
