Dragon Shop

What I am about to suggest here is a long term thing, as in it will be such a massive change that it won't be anywhere near a short term change. So if you are not willing to talk in a long term mindset and polish things up and you are very short minded then this post is not for you and be neutral and leave; for everyone else that keeps reading my ideas then we can work together to polish up my base, concept, rough sketch, baby in the womb ideas.

So let's begin with the overall idea where there will be an icon created that will look like your passive and hovering over it you can see what you bought from the Dragon Shop, clicking on the icon will open up the Dragon Shop. Now to purchase things from the Dragon Shop (which will be organized in drop down lists) you will need Dragon Coins which you obtain through killing Dragon the first 5 Dragons will grant Dragon Coin 1-5 respectively with every Dragon slain past 5 will grant Unique Dragon Coin with a much weaker effect than Dragon 5 but slightly stronger than Dragons 3 and 4 and the final Dragon effect is the one that repeats. So you can invest all your coins into one effect to get a lot of power from that effect or have a mix of effects for a wider spread of power just less power for each value. If you happen to sit on multiple Dragon Coins at the same time the coins obviously get used in numerical order.

Dragon Respawn timers will change (From just a flat 360 seconds): 2:30 - 9:59 ... 480 seconds respawn timer This is an anti-snowball mechanic, end timer may be reduced to something like 8:59 or 7:59 10:00 - 44:59 ... 300 seconds respawn timer This can quicken the pace of games with a slightly lower respawn timer, but mainly because on average I feel my changes to Dragon makes him weaker for his buffs but stronger on an investment stand point 45:00 - 59:59 ... 150 seconds respawn timer This is to create more action in the very late game with a faster Dragon timer 60:00+ ... 30 seconds respawn timer This is to end games by letting a team to farm Dragons when everyone has 6 items to end a game so that they can become uber; this is an extreme late game scenario and over 99% of games will probably never reach this point, this is nothing to worry about

Other values to note: Dragons will be indicated in the scoreboard menu to show how many Dragons you and your team have and how many your enemy has as well. A new mechanic will be clearing Dragon from the mini map will now grant the Dragon's remaining respawn timer just to have the game less about book keeping so that everyone can focus on the game and this helps out new players a lot, also allows teams to either choose between contesting Dragons or taking turrets having Dragon timers for the competitiveness of League.

DRAGON SHOP IDEAS BELOW [Simplified for Navigation]:

Attack Damage: Dragon Coin 1: +5 Attack Damage Dragon Coin 2: +5 Attack Damage Dragon Coin 3: +10 Attack Damage Dragon Coin 4: +10 Attack Damage Dragon Coin 5: +20 Attack Damage - Passive: Increase Attack Damage by 10% Unique Dragon Coin: +15 Attack Damage per Unique Dragon Coin invested

Ability Power: Dragon Coin 1: +10 Ability Power Dragon Coin 2: +10 Ability Power Dragon Coin 3: +20 Ability Power Dragon Coin 4: +20 Ability Power Dragon Coin 5: +40 Ability Power - Passive: Increase Ability Power by 10% Unique Dragon Coin: +30 Ability Power per Unique Dragon Coin invested

Minion and Monster Damage: Dragon Coin 1: +5% increased damage to Minions/Monsters Dragon Coin 2: +5% increased damage to Minions/Monsters Dragon Coin 3: +10% increased damage to Minions/Monsters Dragon Coin 4: +10% increased damage to Minions/Monsters Dragon Coin 5: +20% increased damage to Minions/Monsters - Passive: Deal 3 bonus magic damage on-hit per 10 total Minions/Monsters slain. Unique Dragon Coin: +15% increased damage to Minions/Monsters per Unique Dragon Coin invested

Armor: Dragon Coin 1: +10 Armor Dragon Coin 2: +10 Armor Dragon Coin 3: +20 Armor Dragon Coin 4: +20 Armor Dragon Coin 5: +40 Armor - Passive: Take 10% less physical damage from champions Unique Dragon Coin: +30 Armor per Unique Dragon Coin invested

Magic Resist: Dragon Coin 1: +5 Magic Resist Dragon Coin 2: +5 Magic Resist Dragon Coin 3: +10 Magic Resist Dragon Coin 4: +10 Magic Resist Dragon Coin 5: +20 Magic Resist - Passive: Take 10% less magical damage from champions Unique Dragon Coin: +15 Magic Resist per Unique Dragon Coin invested

Gold: Dragon Coin 1: +100 Gold Dragon Coin 2: +100 Gold Dragon Coin 3: +200 Gold Dragon Coin 4: +200 Gold Dragon Coin 5: +500 Gold - Passive: Deal +0.5% of your maximum gold earned as bonus magic damage on-hit. Unique Dragon Coin: +300 Gold per Unique Dragon Coin invested

Experience Points: Dragon Coin 1: +200 Experience Points Dragon Coin 2: +200 Experience Points Dragon Coin 3: +400 Experience Points Dragon Coin 4: +400 Experience Points Dragon Coin 5: +1000 Experience Points - Passive: Deal +0.25% of your maximum experienced points earned as bonus magic damage on-hit. Unique Dragon Coin: +700 Experience Points per Unique Dragon Coin invested

Something I need to mention again is that once you invested into a tier then you invest into the next tier with your next Dragon Coin regardless to whether or not you previously already invested into that effect; so an example will be: Dragon Coin 1: +5 Attack Damage Dragon Coin 2: +10 Ability Power Dragon Coin 3: +3% Movement Speed Dragon Coin 4: +3% Movement Speed Dragon Coin 5: +20% increased damage to Minions/Monsters - Passive: Deal 3 bonus magic damage on-hit per 10 total Minions/Monsters slain. Unique Dragon Coin: +300 Gold Unique Dragon Coin: +300 Gold Unique Dragon Coin: +150 units Stealth Ward and Vision Ward cast range

So with this 8 Dragon (not very realistic having this many Dragons) build you get a total of 5 Attack Damage, 10 Ability Power, 6% movement speed, 20% minion and monster damage with the on-hit magic damage dragon 5 passive, 600 gold granted, and 150 more range for placing wards.

So you have the options and customization available to you and every member of your team to go for exactly what they want and how they want things, when they want things. Another thing I want to emphasize is make Dragons strong for everyone and make Dragons not be a gold reliant objective but completely separated and independent creating a more distinct path between pushing towers or taking Dragons, even though you have the option of getting gold or EXP from Dragon, but I want options and customization on top of having Dragon useful for everyone. Say this again, Dragon and pushing towers are both viable options to make yourself and your team stronger and I want this diversity in the game to see what team decide what is more valuable between Dragon investment or immediate power and map control of tower pushing.

Hope you appreciate the ideas and have a good day! ~ Stacona

Buying buffs from killing the dragon rather than receiving them automatically just seems needlessly complex.

It isn't complex at all, it is more simple than how it currently is- sure it is no longer automatic gains, but clicking a button and purchasing your "stat" is a very clean and simple process- it is easier to navigate than the actual shop so if you know how to buy from the shop you definitely know what to do with the Dragon Shop- you just need to read 5th dragon passive

Current system: Kill dragon => receive buff

your suggestion: Kill dragon => acquire unique currency => buy the same buffs you would have gained anyways

yes, I know you are suggesting they add different stuff for purchase, but after all is said and done, there will only be one obvious build path for every player to choose. It just as well be automatic.

There wouldn't be just one path for everyone, not even close - and here people get to choose what they want to invest into

if anything it be a certain path for each specific role, but there is a lot of customization here and a lot of different things to try out even if the marksman goes Attack Damage, mages go Ability Power, Supports go ward power, junglers take gold, experience or minions/monsters damage, and tanks go armor or magic resist it is still customization and helps everyone equally even if a norm for specific roles comes into play- but there is customization where people could start with gold and then get the other effects for the later dragons, --- or an initiator could take armor or mr depending on the enemy team and movement speed if they get 5th dragon, there is customization and options not sure why you think every single player will do the same thing here?

Kitsuki051 votes

exactly, the choice would be made as soon as you pick your role. Not really room for customization.

there is room for customization and nothing wrong with catering to your role but this system allows for that

They've generally been trying to make the game less snowbally, not more.

You want the game one sided snowball stomps? I am trying to have the game close and exciting and be this epic battle between sides- while allowing a way for a team ahead to end the game with the tiny Dragon respawn timers late game (which can happen sooner if game are taking too long) i want Dragon to make you and your team stronger, not to crazy snowball the game out of control

Being able to pick the most beneficial buffs for yourself would make taking Dragon more of a benefit than it already is.

having a contestable objective is fine for action- but it does not out weigh pushing and farm strategies until the 5th dragon passive
