So is AP Ez as a mid laner accepted by the community?
Just wondering how the lol community generally feels about ap ez playing mid lane.

I hate that shit. Mainly because I hate ezreal in general.
AD Ezreal is a better mid laner.
Debatable. Just because the pros run double AD comps now and again doesn't necessarily mean AD Ezreal is "better". Nor for any other reason you could come up with. They are different beasts. AP Ezreal does more burst damage vs AD Ezreal's stronger laning and sustained damage. AP scales more with his abilities, but ADCs scale better into the lategame. Ezreal can also be a great cheese mid when you hit lvl 2 with an Arcane Shift in with your Q and Autos + ignite. But either way he's fun to play. Go for it.
I play it in ranked and do fairly well with it lol. Like anything else, depends on matchups and player skill with it.
AP ez used to be okay, but now with
he has become even better as AP.
I don't even want him as an adc, generally because people tend to be horrible at him.
I feel fine if the person playing Ez knows how to use ranging correctly and land skillshots.
It really depends. Never as a first pick. If I see kat, zed, akali, cass, xerath, ziggs then hell no. But if it's anyone else I at least hope that he can do fine. I think it's a fun playstyle, but not a competitive one. I rather see an AP kog'maw
Honestly only cass counters ezreal out of what you listed, he does fairly well against the others (especially akali who has nothing on him before 6 and then still lacks the range to get on him before he's in turret range)
I think a European team took AP Ezreal mid recently. He's has very high AP ratios + Lichbane procs all day, so the damage is there, and he's much safer than Kog'maw, who needs a team built around him to keep him alive.
Only if the player is really good
Ez is a great pick against Kat. He is able to poke her down and can just E out of her Ult. If she roams she will lose her tower and Ez can use his ult to counter pushes in Top and Bot. He also gives you the flexability to build AD or AP depending on the team needs.
I personally enjoy playing it quite a bit. In my opinion he is quite strong, especially once you get farther into the game for some items. However, I know that not everyone will take you seriously. Sadly, some people quite simply hate Ezreal in general, and others haven't seen AP Ez enough to accept it as viable (to their knowledge).
Ez actually has some pretty scary AP ratios. His sole problem is waveclear. I think he's good against melee assassins but not against long range waveclear mages.
I much prefer AD Ezreal at mid than an AP Ezreal. He scales so much better, especially with a magic-oriented top laner (Lissandra/Rumble) or jungler (Nidalee) to balance out the damage output.
In my opinion its hit or miss.. If i have an AP ezreal mid on my team he either fucks shit up or gets fucked up... and i mean the extreme of both lol
I love AP Ezreal mid, and take it fairly often.
At the moment Ezreal mid is an off meta pick in NA no matter the spec.
That being said, AD Ez is more common mid.
i hate his ap ratios.. honestly something has to be tweaked on him.. when kog started moving in the mid lane last season riot nerfed his mana hard to stop him.. but they seem to like ez mid .. i dont know why. he doesnt have a low point in his damage compared to other champs
if they just up the cost of his abilities it may be better to deal with him because he can cast his spells more than others.
necro.
Where ELSE would AP Ez play?
