What champions are you comparing the tree with? Not every champion will mesh the same with each tree.

pretty much everyone that bursts. a few poke champions like Teemo are an exception for summon aery.

Ugh tell me about it. If an ap assassin one shots, it's a problem. If an AD assassin one shots then "he's just doing his job".

Blue tree still good for goofy max ap builds, item 3040 item 3089 item 3285 and either item 3158 or item 3907 (yes there is no magic pen that's why I normally do this on champs like Velkoz or.... Velkoz

Transcendence is fun.

I think ill stick with stacking item 3285 . they give 138 ap each.

90 (base ap from item)+ 20 (10% cdr overflow) + 18 (3% of 600 mana, 3 x 6 = 18)

But that's only after you have 40% cdr , you get 30 % from item 3040 and transcendence, you can get the other 10% from item 3158

Nvm its 128, still alot though compared to item 3089 …

Pretty much are you willing to lose 10% movement speed for 8 ap, in most cases no you want the 10% movementspeed but id rather go goofy.

I WOULD buy item 3041 but ARURF wont ****ing let me.

On some champions, like Teemo and Janna, I feel that the extra AP is outweighed by the movement speed (for troll value)

I personally don't believe that the Domination tree is better than Sorcery in every application. If you think about how you should be trading with your champion, or your personal preference then that can determine which if best. Thing is the game favours burst champions atm so Domination is going to be a highly chosen, and powerful tree.
