Yeah. It's not worth getting worked up over anymore. It seems like every time riot reworks or updates a champion, 1/3rd of that champ's player base is up in arms.

But this champ actually is played unlike the urgot, galio, yorick, aatrox crowd. Swain has a good playerbase with solid balanced winrates. His only problem was the 3 birds to 5 birds initial change where he literally could 1 v 5.

I don't think a Paladin, of "life", should be maining Swain. Soraka's probably the better bet for that theme.

Kayle and Pantheon already have their future reworks confirmed.

KogMaw and Twitch aren't necessarily broken, but were just OP the last months.

Ekko isn't broken nor OP ever since Tank Ekko isn't viable anymore.

And Soraka is just a shit champion imo.

But that doesn't change the fact that Swain is in need for a rework for years now. The draintank gameplay is just unhealthy for the game, and the recent META proved that.

Sustain has to have clear windows so you have counterplay to it when you lack stats.

I recently played against a Swain who got fed. We couldn't do anything against him anymore, even with item 3123 cause he simply wouldn't die anymore. And exactly that is the problem with draintanking. Useless when behind, and completely unstoppable when in front. Even if it balances out at 50% winrate because of this 2 cases, it's still not healthy gameplay.

He's not getting a full-scale rework. Just a thematic shift and rebalancing his numbers. Him being a tactician doesn't really fit his thematic, so they're changing that and a few numbers. Overall his kit should be staying the same, just with shiny new packaging. :/

Poppy got her treatment cuz she needed it. Maybe swain does too. Don't let your personal opinion fog up your view of the game as a whole.

How exactly does being a tactician not for his theme? I don't play Swain but it kind of irks me how riot is making every champion a muscular body builder. See urgot for example. And trundle. And pretty much every rework they have done on these kind of champs.

Swains identify was pretty cool that he was a tactician, so it makes me a little depressed that riot has decided to change it because "muh themes". I don't play Swain often though so I guess it shouldn't really matter.

I dont mind the theme change at all he never was a tactitian lol. Id love to see the Tyrant lane bully AP bruiser archtype but we shall see. But with each new piece of news they just really changing a kit Ive logged a butt load of hours on

Shaco is more of a tactican than Swain.

That's not true at all. He'll be getting a major rework, he's not part of the modernizing camp like Eve and Warwick, he's part of the relaunch like Sion and Poppy.

Im really just butt hurt they toying with my main. When a simple tweak and VGU would have been enough. But they looking at a full kit scrap, when other champs need a full rework much more.

Tbh they ruined him when they changed his Q, better waveclear, almost 0 kill potential.

So yeah I think he needs a rework now cause I feel hes just awful atm.

Yeah his farming is pretty difficult. But i actually loved the new Q it really zones off an area and you can farm/ retarget with E for nice harass.
