Can Eve get her movement speed and hybrid ratios back please?

I'd gladly take out the hard CC from stealth and MR shred that she never needed in the first place if it means we can get E doing two on-hit effects, 5 extra MS, and AD ratios in her kit.

She's so shoehorned into building the same items every. single. game, that it's an insult to her pre-update version's hallmark of versatility. I'm not saying she should be building full tank as a viable path, but playing like a gimped range Twitch or worse engage Shaco with 6 viable items that get bought in each and every game isn't right either.

Ironically the only other build she can do right now with remote success is as a tanky charmbot in a comp with other AP damage to capitalize on her non-scaling MR shred.

You mean the one that was an "4-tank items assassin", because she was so versatillessly useless in her role of an assassin? The very versatile always-tank evelynn? I mean I'd LOVE to see her get hybrid ratios back. Just nitpicking, that the past wasn't as rosy as you remember.

We're not talking about THAT Eve, we're talking about the Eve that came after THAT but before her rework now.

Eh thats only folks who choose to build that way, it was always better to opt for damage unless the matchup was truly unfavorable then you went tank and since most non eve mains were not good on her they just built tank eve by default.

Because tank eve was flat out better. There's a reason you never saw damage eve in lcs.

You never really saw eve in lcs period except for the for fun no stakes games.

I don't know what alternate reality I came from but I swear I remember Evelynn being played in pro as a tank for her engage potential with her ultimate's shield and AoE slow.

Can't find evidence of this. Dunno what I'm remembering.

tank anything was better in the older seasons, especially tank assassins. aka rengar/zed/kha/eve/ekko/fizz all had tank builds with assassin dmg.

As far as I recall, in pro play the only champion who went a dedicated tank was evelynn. The rest had more than 1 damage item due to the nature of their damage particularly rengar, zed, and kha.

Eko and fizz went tanky because eko had high base damage and could burst while building tank. Fizz was doing similarly iirc.

Eve had to build tank because the changes made to her overtime made her garbage at assassination.

Her E went from magic to physical. Her ult went from max hp to current hp. Her Q had its base damage gutted repeatedly.

This is one of the strongest moments as a champion she has been, and people still hate on her even though she tells everyone where she is located with her charm.

Not even once did I see evelynn that was less tankier than rammus or malphite.

The champion was broken af back then, clearly rito didn't even bother to make anything with her with her very first rework. "just gut her and maybe one day we'll come back to her"

Well your flat out wrong, i played original eve and new eve as well and the goto build method for original eve was always damage item based unless the matchup made building damage pointless and that was rather rare.

Again many eve's that went tank eve every game were simply bad at old eve's playstyle which is why she was not picked often because you couldn't just pick her up and do well you had to put in the time before you could be a 52-56% winrate eve.

1 damage item doesn't make your build "damage based". Most of eves were like this: buy 1 item that helps with damage, finish jungle item, then rest into tanking.

I seriously do not believe you had build evelynn as an assassin (a glasscannon), because her ability dmg were shit, her abilities dealt magic damage, so if you went AD you were handicapped and finally, because beyond Q and E she had no damaging abilities. Her R was tank-ultimate that deal close to no damage (30% current hp in magic dmg, that thing is worthless). She also had no followup after using her E, which means she was chasing her target spamming Qs.

She was a mess and definitely not an "assassin". People built her as a tank, because that was mostly what she could have done.

MAYBE you had different experiences playing her. But most of eve players played her exactly as I described.

The tank eve you refer to is probably deadmans + randuins + jungle item which is something eve's only did rarely, above was standard for eve, she was the only champion I ever played until she was reworked unless i was forced not to play her i know what i am talking about!

Again, ironically tank is the only other semi-viable build in her current kit because of the hard CC that becomes easier to proc if she can run up and auto/E her opponent and her magic shred which has no form of scaling.

Unless you're calling the bruiser AD path of item 3078 item 3748 item 3053 item 3022 a "tank" build, which is just flagrantly inaccurate.

Besides which, I'm advocating for specifically non-tank builds. Nuclear builds with item 3146 item 3095 item 3100, on-hit ravaging builds with item 3124 item 1416 item 3091, while letting her keep her AP build as a viable choice if the game calls for it.

I honestly miss old Eve sooooooo much, her clear was great, she could be played mid, she had a good team-fight ult and could do so much more than current Eve.

PopcornBunni1 votes

The ult change is a fine one, and Q to an extent as well to make her more of an assassin than sneaks through the shadows to pick off unsuspecting targets. I'd probably change the Q to lower its cooldown on minions as well as monsters to open up the lanes as a choice for her, but overall I think those two are positive changes in her rework. Especially her Ult which is her patented assassin escape tool they all get.

The -5 base MS, loss of an engage tool of her old W (unless you use the slow as shit ult backwards and give the enemy 2 solid seconds to collapse on you with all their cc), loss of hybrid scaling/damage, and loss of E's multiple on-hit applications are what I miss.

The removal of AD scaling from her kit was to prevent her from having good dps builds and focus more on her burst.

PopcornBunni1 votes

The removal of AS, her shield, and turning Q into a four-piece burst with massive cooldown do that plenty well even if they had AD scaling. Also her new ult being an execute is by nature the opposite of burst. It's fitting for an assassin to have an execute, but mechanically they want you to wittle an opponent down over time before finishing them off (also fitting for Evelynn's personality, but absolute NOT burst focused)

Darius Nidalee Elise Kindred Morgana Urgot LeeSinZed, are some of the most prominent characters with execute damage, of which only zed is an assassin. It's a mechanic fitting for a class meant to pick off targets, but mechanically is built for sustained damage picks.
