I don't know if its just me, but every single game I play now (in Plat) has at least one person that feeds 10 kills, or a bunch of people that have zero mechanics what so ever. Like, how did you people get to Plat? Or is Plat just this bad? Its almost harder to carry in Plat than it is in Bronze because everyone thinks they are good, and everyone thinks the decisions they make are the right ones.

This is how Platinum always is/was. It is the tier of throwers. People at that elo feel comfortable enough with making 'big plays' that they often make 'big throws.'
The answer is to just practice until you are good enough to get into Diamond then grind it out. If you play safe in Plat and keep your own deaths to a minimum and do everything else efficiently it is actually pretty easy to gain 2-3 levels on the enemy team by mid game and snowball off it by being a dominating factor in a few team fights until your team is ahead as well to help close the game out.
Gotted1 votesI feel you man. Dropped three hundred lp in the last few days after gaining like 700 in the last couple weeks. Low Plat is freakin bonkers. I don't know how people die for free so often. I kind of assume people learn the basics in silver / gold, but low plat feels bronze as fuck.
