In this mindset, of building uselessness and retardation, is it that bad? :c

The main issue with hybrid itemization is this:
All physical stats scale one-another exponentially.
AD multiplies AS which are both multiplied by Crit which are all multiplied by armor penetration which all effect how much healing life steal offers.
Most magical stats also scale one-another exponentially, albiet to a lesser extent.
Rabadon's bonus multiplies your AP which are both used on Lich Bane which are all multiplied by magic penetration...
However, physical stats don't scale the power of magical stats and vice-versa. Adding AP and AD together simply adds some magic damage on to your physical damage.
It's largely an issue of:
2x2x2x2 = 16
vs.
2x2+2x2 = 8
So, hybrid builds generally kill your late-game scaling.
There's only 2 reasons to really persue hybrid items:
1) hybrid items are often more cost-efficient than there pure-physical or pure-magical counterparts in a vacum to offset the fact pure physical or pure magical builds have a much better efficiency late-game.
So, if you have hybrid scaling you can make use of, and want to pump your early game power: grabbing 1 hybrid item isn't a bad way to start out.
often go this route, but it's worth noting pure-physical or pure-magical paths have better end-game scaling, hybrid paths have a really bleak end-game, and such champions quickly switch to a pure-physical or pure-magical build after a single hybrid item.
It's also worth noting, particularly in the case of
, that going a hybrid item first does make their late-game much weaker than if they went a standard ADC route of

2) You're playing a tanky DPS champion that can only afford to get 1 major damage item in the first place. As previously mentioned, hybrid damage items tend to be more cost-effective by themselves than pure physical or pure magical items in terms of raw power.
And hey - defense technically scales the power of offense, seeing as the longer you live the more damage you get to deal.
Again though, you're only getting 1 hybrid damage item on a wide range of tanky DPS champions while shoring up the rest of their build with defense.
Anyways, if you enjoy making use of AP and AD scaling and you can make it work, go for it. LoL lets you run with any item, any rune, any mastery point, any lane, and any combination there-of. Experimenting is clearly part of the game.
The build you listed just isn't optimal if you want any champion to be as powerful as they can be.
