Stop giving champions abilites that are beyond the scope of their kit

Stop letting non jumping champions jump over walls with plants

Stop letting everyone call down lightening for no fucking reason with Thunderlords

Stop making items that allow non healing supports to, ta-da!, suddenly be able to have an AOE heal.

Slow tank? No problem heres a piece of armor that gives you insane movement speed.

STOP GIVING EVERY CHAMPION A WAY TO DO A LITTLE OF EVERYTHING. Le them win or lose with their kit.

I want sharp distinctions with defined strengths and weakness, not items and masteries and plants that lessen those distinctions.

Correction, you want a game without Summoner Spells, without interesting Masteries, without Item Actives, without Item Passives, without Plants, without Rift Herald, and without Baron.

How boring would your game be without overloading kits to high heaven? You'd have to pick between buying an item that gave Stats A, B C instead of Stats A, D, E, but there'd never be any reason to deviate from that choice for offensive items since one will be numerically superior for your champion. Defensive items would come down to "am I fighting Physical or Magic damage?", and after answering that question the single item that best suits your champion would be apparent.

I also disagree with you on this one op. I like flexibility from mastery's and runes. More matchups are hell if you don't adjust your level 1 stats, likely making you a non factor in the game which is not fun. I like Plants more then the previous smite buffs largely because they can be interacted with by all players in the game, not just the ones running smite.

TheSnacken2 votes

Yeah you want a different game, OP. Try something simplified, like Paladins, or Pac Man.

DonnieDarkin1 votes

The game used to NOT have plants or keystone masteries, or deadmans plate etc and it got along great for 5 seasons did it not? But suddenly me not liking the new changes mean I should go play Pac-Man? Dude fuck off with your 3rd grade logic.

TheSnacken1 votes

Well, Pac-Man was the joke suggestion, but if the boots fits.

And yeah, I know the game existed prior to plants and keystones. I was there. But there are REALLY good reasons those were added in. I recommend going to read some of the dev posts. And the game, by principle, is in a constant state of identity bends within champions.

Banshee's Veil Guardian Angel Duskblade of Draktharr Morellonomicon Runaan's Hurricane

These are all items that give abilities almost no champions have IN their kit. Hell, Runaan's passive doesn't exist on anyone (except arguably Sivir, but that's pretty loose). You want to go way back? Summoner spells have been around since the game's inception. Your premise is flawed.

DonnieDarkin1 votes

My premise is not flawed. Giving jumps or heals to champions via tiems is not the same as say banshee veil or GA. Jumps and heals and dashes are way more common in a kit. Hardly anyone has GA or something like it, and spell shiedl is pretty rare. So I have no problem letting items give abiliies tha most champions dont have in their kits. Are you starting to understand? And what were those REALLY good reasons btw? Read the dev posts? Sure lets read when they made the new mastery system and thought that crit mastery was going to be good, but as well all knew back then, it was going to b cancer on yas and trynd, and they had to get rid of it. So forgive me if I could give a shit what Rito says in their dev posts.

How are you disagreeing? The game used to NOT have plants or keystone masteries, or deadmans plate etc and it got along great for 5 seasons did it not?

DonnieDarkin1 votes

Its amazing how little imagination people have. I say I ant this and that immediately you cant imagine anything where those things do exist, but with greater distinction between champions.

DrCyanide2 votes

I have plenty of imagination, I painted the picture of what such a game would look like. You just failed to imagine what you'd asked for would actually look like.

DonnieDarkin1 votes

It would look like seasons 1-5. This is amazing. Plants, keystones, deadmans, Redemption..none of that existed for the majority of this games existence, but yet if I want the game more how it used to be, I failed to imagine? I dont have to imagine. I PLAYED IT already. Maybe you should check your logic before you post.

Every single Summoner Spell in the game adds what you said you wanted to remove. They add heals, shields, dashes, movement speed boosts, minion execution, etc to champions that don't have that in their kit.

item 3157 item 3153 item 3102 item 3056 item 3140 item 3068 item 3142 item 3077 item 3075 item 3071 item 2049 item 3123 item 3022 item 3116 item 3026 and other items all add either active or passive abilities that weren't in a champions kit, something you expressly wanted out of the game.

You have never played a game of League of Legends that matches what you said you wanted, in any season. It's fine to say that you think things have gone too far, but to say that we should be restricted to what's in a champions kit is to say you want to build a new game from scratch.

DonnieDarkin1 votes

God damn, is so hard to respond to such lack of thinking without resorting to just calling you names that will get me banned.

Executioner calling adds something to a kit that no one has, reducing healing. GA adds something that only 1 kit actually has, and few that are something like it. You see a pattern here?

There is huge difference between adding something that is rare enough that most of the time its only had by items, then adding abilities that are very common in many champions kits, thus devaluing that champion.

I NEVER said we should be restricted to whats in a champions kit. I just think that there are too many ways to homogenize champions. Just because we have these items and summs doesnt mean we should keep going by adding MORE things to give MORE abilities. The game eventually will become too complicated and too hard to balance. It will be harder to calculate trades in your head. No you have to factor in Ludens and Thunderlords..whats next and where does it end?

Oh?

Le them win or lose with their kit.

This misunderstanding is entirely your creation if you really didn't intend to mean what you typed.

The game used to not have plants or keystones or deadmans or redemption, but suddenly if I wished it was how it used to be for the first 5-6 seasons, I want a game without actives or passives or rift herald or baron? You are so out of line trying to make that leap.

Here is what other people are saying: You may as well say"

Stop letting non jumping champions jump over walls with summoner 4

Stop letting everyone call down lightening for no fucking reason with summoner 11

Stop making summoner spells (summoner 7 ) that allow non healing supports to, ta-da!, suddenly be able to have a heal.

Slow tank? No problem heres a summoner spell that gives you insane movement speed. summoner 6

All this stuff was available to all champs in different forms already.

Le them win or lose with their kit.

Summoner spells, items, masteries, and runes are not part of a champion's "kit". So the game you are describing is not the game of seasons 1-5.

Shahamut1 votes

In fact I think the game that you are describing actually exists, its called "Mobile Legends".

I only checked it out like once, but I dont recall a mastery system, summoner spells, or items. Or even a mini map! Win with your Kit baby! YEAH! :P

Try any of the renditions of Gauntlet...some are rather good.

Stop shitposting pls

DonnieDarkin1 votes

Never. You are free to not read my posts. No one is putting a gun to your head.

Then go play Dota 2 or Heroes of the Storm. Heroes is my recommendation though.

DonnieDarkin1 votes

I probably should. But I really hate Blizzard.
