With the proposed nerfs to Rageblade, will Kog'Maw be getting any attention?

I will not argue that Rageblade does not have a dangerous synergy with 3-hit proc mechanics (Vayne, Neeko, etc) but that item was a mainstay staple to KogMaw power spike. Now it seems that the champion will lose a significant amount of power and I am curious as to whether there will be some kind of compensation to make up for power being taken from him when he is not in any way over-performing. He is immobile and easily pinched in ganks. His only strength was that he became a late game power-house in the right team composition.

For those of you who do not know, Rageblade is getting its 'every second hit' moved to 'every third hit' and getting a bit more immediate penetration in compensation.

it'll drop his DPS by a decent margin when stacked, to be sure... but how valuable can the extra hybrid penetration be on kog in those earlier stages? I'd expect him to benefit from it a lot more than many/most other users of rageblade. of course, that doesn't mean he should just be forgotten about, as it's a nerf to his late-game either way, but I wouldn't be surprised if Riot would rather wait and see how the change pans out on other users before giving them specific changes in the same patch.... We'll just have to wait and see, I guess.

The dual penetration will benefit a KogMaw, Kai'Sa or Varus a lot more than it will a Vayne for example.

You do realize right now Kog has 0 counterplay late game? Most champs neither can engage nor run from him.

I've seen Kog ma literally erase the two best Udyrs in the game before they could even get within 700 range of him, and they turn to run and still die.

He will be fine even with the nerf.

Also, The nerf is also coming with a buff: the Armor/Mag pen are always going to be 15% now, not stacking up to 15%. So the penetration is actually a buff.

rageblade needs to be removed period, all of the champs that use it well just need to be buffed in order to compensate. Rageblade + Bork is way too strong of a spike and should not put users at nearly at the AS cap with just 2 items once you stack it up. The biggest problem is that 3 items of IE + 2 completed zeal (8600 gold) and you still will lose the fight vs those 2 items (6400 gold) consistently if you don't get lucky with crits.

Yep, Kog'maw so OP that all 1.1% playrate OTP's are sitting on only 50% w/r. Must be entirely broken dps I mean, so little counterplay involved, he just 1v9's every game. Oh wait..that used to be when his W gave x2 AS. Now he's dumpstered by almost everything that is in the game. From Jax, to other ADC's that dish out more DPS then him and have more mobility then him until 3+ items.

This is a substantial hit to every aspect of Kog'maw.
