Devil's Advocate: ever since the new patch, from what I've seen, a large amount of the time, when a game starts with a DC, it's usually as a result of a) temporary ISP problems (Bell has really weird ping issues with LoL specifically atm, since the patch) and/or b) weird and wonky loading process (I.E. halfway through loading screen, you just stop connecting, for example)

AFK checks can't really detect internet issues, bruv. xD

I'm saying that a match shouldn't even start if someone doesn't connect during the loading screen.

With all these afk checks Riot added what's one more?

Oh, I definitely agree. I've had too many games where one person fails to connect... and on occasion, I have been that person myself - it's happened twice so far this patch already. Like, everything works perfectly fine, my Internet connects well, about 70-90 ping for most speed tests to Riot's Chicago location, 3 mb/s download speed... but nah, Rito's client decides to piss the bucket, for lack of a better term. =/
