Like seriously the maiden(new yorick ult pet) just runs down mid when yorick walks into the lane with no way of controlling or stopping her what so ever. that is just full tyler1 AI.

it doesn't make sense that when yorick walks by a lane it just rushes down the lane attacking whatever on its way and doesn't give shit about where yorick goes tho. there is literally no control that allows you to stop it from killing itself unless you never walk into a lane.

It's because if you use it, you can take rift herald alone at level 6, which is a really powerful objective. She makes taking objective laughably easy and actually give yorick this whole "Split Push, Objective Control" champion niche.

So people really expect Riot to allow u to solo rift herald as yorick? Rift herald was created to put pressure into top lane like bot has dragon..... I don't think Riot would want Yorick soloing it and smooshing his lane opponent without even trying.

Real talk here: Yorick already can solo rift herald by level 6 (although it is a bit difficult and risky to do so).

Those ghouls are pretty damn good at tanking damage from mobs for ya.

Truthfully i don't really support the whole "uncontrollable summon" forever kind of thing. Because they were talking about making his playstyle feel more satisfying? That's pretty unsatisfying because it's no pressure outside of lane. She should feel more like a companion than a banner minion especially since she takes the turret aggro first too after the minions die making his ult countered by simply staying under the turret [zombie-brand-mindblown]

Her point is to be a banner minion. He's a mega pusher. He goes down one lane, and sends the maiden into her own lane. She's supposed to gun it down a lane that yorick isn't in. He can also effectively split push a lane, while still being with his team. Imagine a support and yorick syncing their banner/ult.

the thing is, after you summon her, and there is no enemy in lane to stop her from killing herself, she just runs it down to turret and kills herself, having a banner minion as a ultimate is not satisfying gameplay.

so I am jungle yorick and I just solo rift herld with my ult, then I wanna go clear my camps with my maiden still up, then boom my maiden runs down mid with no minion and kills herself, 120second cool down baby.

You realize she only runs down mid if you go to mid right? If you want to clear camps right after taking Herald, it would take a bug or a tyler1 easter egg to get her to run down mid.

If you're talking about it to that extent (going to the other side of the map), then you are correct, although I don't see this as an issue. You can still summon Mist Walkers and clear super fast by tanking for them, why would you need the Maiden just to help you take Red? The difference between Yorick and other champions that have summons is that he has two kinds: Mist Walkers and the Maiden and the Walkers are quite easy to summon.

Another way you can exploit the current AI is by spwaning the Maiden on top/bot and tp'ing to the other side lane. This allows you to split both lanes at once.

If they do end up changing the AI to function as most of the other summons do, I won't really mind, but IMHO, this is a cool mechanic that would be fun to play around.
