Quality of Life Issue with Yorick's Q (accidental double casts)

I pretty often find myself accidentally casting the second half of the Q, raising the ghouls when I don't mean to. It feels like it almost just automatically casts sometimes after I press Q.

This can be a big issue. Raising ghouls auto pushes the lane. And Yorick is very easy to gank early on. I haven't logged a ton of yorick games yet, but in my experience, he's more of a mid/late game champ. Early game I don't necessarily want to push all the time, I just want to safely farm.

Controlling/managing Yorick's ghouls is a huge part of his kit. This problem makes it feel like I don't have control over them.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? Anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking a small (.5 second) lockout on the ability wouldn't meaningfully impact his ability to raise ghouls when he needs them. But would help prevent the accidental instant casts.

They need a cast delay like they did for wards.

I feel like it would be better to tie ghoul summoning to he e since landing that is really the only time you want to use them. Auto activate if it lands and have an optional activate while on cd.

I think there is already a delay before they start responding from being summoned, and while wasting that skill may be an issue for some it really would suck to give them even MORE time before they finally started their hopping and slashing.

The biggest QoL for him would be an adjustment to his passive that would give him a charge every 7.5/5/3.5 seconds of souls, up to 4. While Q being on CD he would dig a grave every 2/1.5/1 seconds and then be able to summon the walkers anytime he wants by reactivating Q as long as there are 3 or more graves in the vicinity. Functionally it would work the same as his current passive without being leashed to minions and monsters (something I have always been vehemently opposed to), fits thematically and allows him defined windows of power and allows his kit to be more easily balanced around having them when he needs them rather than having to go out of the way to get them. There have been many times already where I wanted to join my team but had to finish clearing a way to summon my walkers before heading to the team or they would go dumb and start attacking minions and I would be down on power before joining the team. Of course this meant the team had to wait and we would miss opportunity to contest Drakes or Baron or defend objectives, because of his passive. Of course I could go underpowered and end up being less useful then too, or just save my Ult only for those kinds of things, but seems far more restrictive then it should be for a champion already heavily restricted by being melee with no gap closer and slow to respond AI.

yeah happens to me too.

Well that brings to light the question of why have the ultimate have split push AI at all?

Hence a consistent and balance able way to generate graves on demand outside of his Ult, so it can serve a function of splitting as it was designed to do.

I would like to point out that more than likely a defective mouse is the cause of your double cast

as mice age the odds of double clicks raises significantly then triple and then just some number of rapid clicks. While playing league however this normally isn't noticeable, a lot of times people don't notice it happening because a lot of computers and the applications on them make it so that such things don't matter much. But try clicking on your internet browser shortcut or something on your desk top exactly one time or maybe you could go play cookie clicker to test it out.

Regardless of why though the game designers should always take minor hardware issues into consideration (if they like having a great and dependable product)
