Why cant we cancel it with stuns? Wouldn't that be fair?

Not really, no. becasue then riven suddenly gets to screw darius out of 90% of his damage in the mduidle of the fight. so woudl panth, and renecton... in fact a lot of champs suddenly become too powerful for darius to deal with, and that kinda ruins his entire identity.

Because you can move close to him or out of his range and reduce his damage and sustain or negate it entirely?
