Why doesn't press the attack have higher values for melee champions?

This looks like such a simple, short-term fix for fighters not having any offensive keystone choice. It makes absolutely no sense that ranged champions get the exact same value from it as melees, when they can proc it about 500x easier. Fervor had a ranged/melee split, why can its replacement not do the same?

While that sounds good there are some melee champions that dont have to invest into defense and can go full damage..... just like adcs should be lower for ranged champions rather than higher for melees

Repeating everyone else here: Melee champions may have to spend more time getting into range, but they proc the actual keystone much faster than marksmen with all their auto resets.

i think its because the keystone could be mainly aimed at divers which have good gap closers such as camille can still easily proc it... for a higher damage it could be too good if that makes sense? i could be wrong but it does make the most sense lol

Jax, Irelia, Shyvana, and any other melee's who want to use it but can't really would actually just become broken

Because the new masteries are mechanics not numbers. They're designed to work in a way based on how the champions work. If you change how a mastery works, then you've got to change how ~10 champions work to compensate for the overbuff that you've just given them.

This is true for any of the keystones. If you nerf a keystone, then a hand full of champions who rely on it will be hit massively, but a small subset of champion who never took it, in favor of one better for them, anyway will get a small nerf if they try to take it.

It's a stupid system that can't be reasonably maintained and balanced.
