Support Hell is a Hell like no other.

You are thought of as a playable minion with absolute zero menace and contribution to the team. People blame you for everything and any kill you have has to have been stolen, even if you earned it. Even ASSISTS are considered taboo to a degree.

You are expected to be in absolutely every engagement no matter where it or you are on the map, even if you're already in one elsewhere. Your demands are so numerous and extreme even RECALLING is an absolute luxury. You are expected to carry out the roles of twelve champions, the the tank, crowd control, peeler, engager, and buffer all at once and have more items than the rest of the team combined with less than half of the gold of one, all the while being a hard counter to both your team that overspecialized AND the enemy team, all at the same time, while everyone insists that you have absolute zero menace as the support.

You are expected to rush sightstone first, even though no one actually pays attention to the wards you lay down, only to yell at you for not warding even when you have and then continue to not pay attention to them. You are expected to defend every lane, all at once, while you get yelled at for killing minions because you're defending lanes that no one else will. And the times that you are legitimately good is somehow unearned, that you somehow stole it from someone else or that you are hacking or cheating.

And then people wonder why no one plays the support. It is stressful like you could not imagine, and the demands are far greater than every other role combined; even being the JUNGLER feels like a vacation now.

Yet...

This is the only way you will get truly good: by taking the hardest role in the entire game and forcing yourself to be on par or better than everyone else. Outperform them and show them how weak they truly are.

As for recalling being a luxury... I'm glad someone finally said it. I oftentimes sit in lane repeatedly while my ADC dies/backs to hold the lane/ try and get some farm (which tbh always makes me sad because i can cs 90% of the wave under tower with no ad runes or anything but my ADC normallh cant cs for shit even though their entire role is csing {no im not salty at all} )and after lane (mostly because I play Morgana) I'm running around helping people and only back when I'm either about to literally die, or when I have something like 2.5k gold (normally at full health because spellvamp OP).

But yeah, I feel you. With Morgana I am visually very impactful so people never really flame me for not doing anything, but as soraka I get accused of being useless all the time and I'm just like I literally just spent 90% of my health to heal you guys please go rot in a whole

Goes lich bane, wonders why he lost.

Intentionally avoiding the fact that the "useless feeder support" had a 32/37 kill participation, more than double that of half of the team and almost double for the rest, dying the least, STILL outperformed everyone else despite being the support and having very little opportunity to gain gold...

But no, according to you one item on a "useless" class can apparently make or break a game.

Go fuck yourself.

Lich Bane has 3 useful stats for some supports, CDR, Move speed, Mana. The extra damage is just nice, and on a lockdown support like Nami its easy to get the auto in meaning you can poke down targets easier for your team. The damage aspect of it isnt that useful, but it is 50% AP scaling so it can be useful on some supports to add in some extra damage to make team fights go faster.

Honestly the solid extra punch a LB proc would give on a target hit by a Nami bubble may be a better item for her than a Morello since most targets in a bubble will be deleted and grievous wounds would be overkill.

Overall your statment is really sad and a pathetic attempt to troll probably. You should be ashamed of yourself, first for trolling, grow the fuck up. Second, thats some really, really, weak trolling, at least put some effort in if your going to be an assclow...

Most targets hit by a bubble will be deleted anyway, negating the need for the extra punch. :D

Crucible, Ardent- maybe even locket to keep Syndra from deleting all those squishy champs would have been more effective than extra punch.

That said though, I would have ditched the Seraphs before the Lichbane. :D

I agree, I would have called out the building of a Seraphs if I were trying to be an ass. I also agree a locket may have been helpful with two melee assassins vs an AoE burst mage with low cooldowns. Looking at what was going on though maybe they thought they needed more magic damage because their Ryze was going down in flames.

Mostly I was just comparing the small advantages of Lich Bane to Morellos cause they both share a lot of stats CDR, Mana, and some AP, and its an item you see on several AP supports. That CrazFight guy was being an ass with a substanceless attack, and I was just confronting them on their BS also.

More farm than 2 of their carries. What a bunch of boosted apes.

This is why supports don't want to buy sightstone... This crap happens so often. You aren't alone man.

Thats all true. But I prefer play support different: Morgana Lux Fiddlesticks Brand Zyra

  1. If i'm in the support role, my only real task is buy item 2049 item 3364. And give farm first 10-15 mins. All other is tasks for the whole team, not me.
  2. My ADC suck. Always. Remember that.
  3. If my ADC suck - then I'm The Carry now. I deal most damage, I pick kills on botlane, I kill jungler, I take objectives.

What is not the supports job:

  1. Buy item 2043. That's everyone responsibility. Toplaner, Midlaner, ADC and jungler must buy at least one fking ward.
  2. Take care of ADC. If he is in misposition - thats his fault. He must be on backline. If he is on backline - than he is safe, and my job to take care of frontline.
  3. Warding. There is usually 3-4 my wards on the map. The entire team can place at least 4 more pinks and 4 yellow. If there is no wards - blame your team.
  4. Give kill to someone. Its 100% better secure the kill, rather then hope that your ADC could kill it. They can't. You're like Jungler - but no one usually blame jungler if he get kill.

If someone blame you - just mute him =) Support role is fun and important.

The 2), IDK, Even if your ADC is mispositioning, you should still try to peel for him/her and not just tell them that it's their fault. Yes people make mistakes, doesn't mean you can't help them.

100% agreement. I try and remind my teammates about putting out pinks at strategic locations: vision superiority for the win. I also agree on playing hard-sub carries like the champs you use.... just in case you need to throw the useless adc on your back for a carry.

Knoyle3 votes

I feel sorry for the ADC that has to rely on you to help them win/survive lane...

Sweet Katarina1 votes

Nah. If I'll play utility like Soraka or Janna - losing adc mean losing the lane. If ADC is good (thats about 1/3 of times) than he will win botlane with my help. If he is not looking on map, if he try to lvl 1 engage in enemy minions - than i'll better try carry botlane myself of help other teammates. Only bronse adc noobs think that support need babysitting them. It's kinda selfish to think that support only needed to help you farm safely. Its not a teamwork at all. Try to look pro games - support can go ward jungle, or counterjungle, or roam midlane - thats teamplay.

Weasel Kensei1 votes

When you enter the game with that attitude, you will always be looking for an excuse to "call it" and decide your the carry now.

Sweet Katarina1 votes

Its better enter with attitude "My adc suck" than think that he will carry and fail. ADC called Carries because they scale better with items. And 6 items ADC will possibly do more damage than 6 items mage. But that happens usually about 40 mins of game, and game end about 20-30 mins.

i feel support is the easiest.... what can i say i suck at cs

CoffeeDave1 votes

Only gets better when you play ranked. Kappa. Best part is when you're first picking as a support and no one on your team is showing who they're picking so you lock in Sona or Nami . Then you watch your entire team pick nothing but squishes after and blame you for not picking a tank.

Weasel Kensei1 votes

I made a video on supporting basics for league season 6, and in it I talk about support goals. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qotKTLKEfXE

Sustain Peel/CC Engage Poke Vision (warding)

Those are the common things supports do, those 5 things are very difficult to do on all supports, but people expect it none the less, and they often expect you to do two or three other goals they came up with in their head.

Its a tough job, but anything worth doing usually is.

SUPPORT FO LYFE!

Jezbo1 votes

It's true. I have a habit of playing unpopular characters or roles and guess what I main for LoL?

I play all the AP poke supports too and I noticed long ago that even if I snowball and manage to get most the kills and crush laning phase, I'm still just cannon fodder to the equally fed or marginally fed Top, Mid or Jglers.

But as long as I don't have to deal with the bullshit Mid lane has to deal with (Fizz, Ahri, Zed) then I'm always staying in bot.
