Why am I gaining lesser and lesser lp despite being on a winning spree?

So I have been on a 3 game winning spree in ranked, and I have realized that for each game my lp gain had gone down from 20 to 19 to now 18, why is that the case? I thought when I win consecutively my mmr goes up and I should earn more lp? Really confused here.

a 3 game win streak isn't enough to significantly raise your mmr to a point where you'll earn more LP. 18-20 a game is normal.

This. When you start winning over 6 games in a row, your MMR will start getting way ahead of your lp and you'll gain more. The decay in gains is probably because you're getting closer to 100 lp where lp gains tend to be lower.
