Is Riot happy with AS-Crit Item Stacking on ADCs?

I feel as though we're heading back into Season 2 territory with some of the design flaws (I call them flaws because Riot has been fundamentally opposed to them since Season 3) in the game. Snowballing, Scissors Paper Rock lane matchups, and now Attack Speed-Crit Chance item stacking.

I thought these were all things of the past that Riot had mad a conscious decision to move away from. Now they're becoming more and more prevalent in the game.

What's this? a complaint about Crit chance?

And I thought it was Armor pen that was busted. But this thread feels like a throwback to the Hypercarry meta, that happened back in the later half of season 4.

I think it was more fair to pair the Crit chance with AS cause it would better Normalize the damage, Compared to say, when IE was the rush item, that lead to really chunky bursts, that could turn a fight too easily.

And in this modern age, Riot is beginning to explore new uses for the who crit system. (Ashe's critical slow, Jhin's speed boost on crit, Essence Reaver) So it's very Unlikely that they would abandon crit stacking. And if they did, ADC's would rely more on the Armor pen builds that people complain about so much right now.

I mean that's sort of the point. With that much crit chance and attack speed, they don't need super high AD. They're not going to burst people. They'll just melt people down by autoattacking them to death and critting them repeatedly.

Same thing for towers. Said attack speed is why they're good at taking towers, aka, what they're supposed to do.

Yeah. Stacking crit+as is kind of what marksmen are supposed to do.
