The biggest change I want next season

Is how LP works.

I think a vast majority of the toxic behavior comes from the feeling of getting screwed over by the ranking system.

The fact that you are ranked individually by a team performance of strangers is the problem. For those of you that dont know, the ranking system is based on the system used for competitive chess, which works great when its 1v1 matches but not when its 5v5.

LP should scale based on individual performance per game. If you lose but do great, you should less LP. If you win and you hard carry the game, you should get more LP.

That way when you have an amazing hard fought battle for 50 minutes and you squeeze out an amazing play to win the game, you dont feel like its all completely erased in 5 minutes by a troll feeder immediately the next game.

Just my thoughts.

A lot of times your performance is out of your hands.

What if you're top lane are doing well in your match up then just get camped 24/7 by mid and top? Think people won't be salty about 'Omg, I was doing well, now my mid and jg ruilned it for me by not camping me like the enemy team!"?

Then you'll have people who'll play a not team game but only so they can maximize how they feel they'll do but not progress the match and potentially lose it for the team. "I'm not doing that. I may die hampering my LP"

How do you do grade a support who was making all these plays but dying each time but getting 3 kills for it, and a tower. Their score looks garbage, but they're the reason you won and did extremely well...

My personal problem with rank currently is the promo system. Failing to win your promos shouldn't make you lose half your current rank.

Losses also count more toward your rank than winning, which boggles my mind as it's a lot harder to win than it is to lose so imo rewards for winning should be higher. Right now it's a 1 step forward, 2 steps back system that really has a negative affect on the mentality of players, especially when some games feel out of hand/uncarryable.

People may be more willing to surrender/move on to the next game and not hold people hostage if players weren't punished so hard for losing.

That's my 2 cents~

All you want is to have your cake and eat it too. You refuse to look in the mirror and realize YOU are the reason you are losing.

Destroy the nexus or lose LP the choice is very simple.

Also the toxic behavior comes from all the damage IMO. Getting bursted in .5 once a snowball starts knowing that winning the game is now a chore of strong will instead of actual fun is the problem.

I wonder what happened if getting reported slowly, maybe exponentially throughout games, took away some LP.

Hey, I'm unranked, don't take my word for it, but I think that demoting toxic players is a fine way to have them make an effort to be nice.

And how would Riot implement a system that judges individual performance? If they use the grading system, people may be more likely to strive for S ranks over actually winning the game. It is actually easier to achieve an S than it is to win the game in a couple of roles.

If wins are still LP gains and loses are still LP loses, just the amounts are influenced by individual performance, then people will still play to win but will be driven to play their best every game instead of giving up or not trying their hardest.
