Not a Kat QQ thread

I just want to know what I'm missing here

The more I think about it the more I think of the similarities between Katarina today and an older version of Kha'zix, the Q based one. (K6 went from W based, to Q based, to ult based, to whatever he is now)

They both notice an enemy is slightly out of position

They both jump on them

They both either get CCd and killed, or get the kill and can reset jump out. However, Kat has the potential for a quadra/penta.

Katarina gets stronger when her enemies are in a group, K6 gets weaker when 2 are close to each other.

Katarina is being nerfed in little stretches because Riot doesn't want to overdo it. K6 got overnerfed, then built back up. Then nerfed again, then buffed again. Then nerfed again and well... here he is.

Whats the difference between the two? Kat is more problematic by all accounts, yet she hasn't been hardly touched. What am I missing?

I would assume it has to do with Kat not seeing much play at higher levels?

You can't interrupt all of Kha's damage with a single silence, stun, etc. and he also not only has stealth for rapid re-positioning but a ranged slow.

Kat has no stealth, no range, no CC, and no sustain. What she has is damage. Lots and lots of damage if you let her get it off.

Kat has been super nerfed and super reworked many many times since her initial version when LOL was in its infancy.

The difference is Kha has not been around long enough to have racked up as many reworks and nerfs as Kat has. Not even the major ones.
