2.5 second fear should not be in the game, especially when it's a fucking point and click, undodgable and can only be removed by a fucking QSS or cleanse. I can't even fucking Zhonyas out of the god damn thing, so I'm just standing getting my ass beat as a carry by their entire fucking team as a mage and can't do shit.
It is only thing that allows him to counter hardcore divers besides his brief silence. This is important because Fid has no instant burst damage or mobility save his short blink after he channels his ult. Almost all of his damage is dealt over a period of time. Especially his W. Even his ult, which has a lot of initial burst damage is still more effective over time. So having the fear allows him to get his damage out.

Try not walking up to him
Also keep in mind if he maxes Q first he deals literally 0 damage.
