Yeah, it's fucking obvious that the lead gameplay design developers don't play the god damn game. <Removed by Moderation> hell, Ghostcrawler is notoriously known for imbalanced games and yet he's the a main influence to wonky ass shit in this game. He honestly believes that Melee champions are "not as skillful to play", and that they "shouldnt be as rewarding to play as ranged champions". So you're telling me that Vladimir would be less "skillful" to play if he was a melee champion and Ornn would be a fucking God if he was a ranged? <Removed by Moderation> Why is Kai'sa allowed to have a 75% shield with her ult, a 3000 unit dash, a 800 damaging passive, invis, kite-ability, a 600 damage lock on ability, and a long ranged 900 damage 6 screens long W? Why is vladimir good in every position besides jungle? Why does he heal for his entire health bar, can remove himself from the game and heal from it, and one shot an enemy team with R>E? Why does every fucking champion in the game do true damage? What is the point of building any fucking resistances or health when true damage and percentage max health on 80% of the champions exist? Why is Zoe allowed to one shot, not only the playerbase from 8 screens away, but in LCS splits too? You'd think seeing that happen when she has 2 kills with a Luden's only, that she might be a little over the top? But nah, it's fun to watch, lets completely throw the balance of the game out the god damn window because it makes for fun content am I right?

I miss the League of Legends where I was like "Damn, they outplayed the shit of me". Now it's "Ok I guess I stepped up 5 units too far, so now I'm dead instantly". <Removed by Moderation>

As you can see, I've edited several parts of your original post. While constructive criticism and venting are allowed on the Boards, being downright disrespectful to Rioters or fellow Boards members is against the Universal Rules. Well I think he is kinda right. What GC said was more like "you should play the game as balance-team to stay in touch with it but you don't have to be Challenger" Beeing pro gamer doesn't mean you are good at balancing. It's a total different skillset to know how to balance a game. Look community patchnotes and you will understand. All the ideas there come from people who play the game. I am also unhappy with the current state of the game. But give them a bit time. I am sure they will fix it. But they will need one or two patches for that probably.

Actually in LoL Balance team are Master players AND gold players. And I think that's good. Imagine there would be only master+ players who balance the game for 0.5% of the player base.

Um, I don't see how melee champion`s are less skillful, their autoattacks arnt avoidable just like ranged champions?? Unless you have a yasuo or braum or zhonyas or bard or etc... then in most cases the melee auto beats the ranged auto but that should be how it is anyway....

Melee champions have to predict and avoid skillshots ...has the dev even tried to catch an ezreal with item 3025 as tahm kench? You have to land so many skillshots while avoiding ezreal`s just to begin closing the gap, and repeat that several times because of his blink ability , it makes killing ezreal players frustrating no matter how bad they are.

Not to mention you are not closing the gap while walking sideways arnt you, you also arnt closing the game while stopping to land a skillshot cc so you've already been penalized for using it in the first place.

I doubt ghostcrawler or meddler have such a warped opinion.

In order to balance the game you have to play it, you dont put other people play it for you because they will fuck it up

one big mistake. game developers do not have to play the game. All they do is write the code, and then the code is tested a bit. then the actually Q&A team tests and reports bugs back and the dev team fixes them and then the QA team tests again, and repeat the process till all foreseeable bugs are fixed

Game DESIGNERS have to play the game. And so does the Q&A members.

So, technically, "game developers do not have to play the game" is true. Also if in the "game developer" you also include the higher ups that only manage personnel and finances.

As usual, boards is wrong again. Not a surprise, given that not everyone understands how business work, but its nice to see you try

The straight amount of bias and outright false quotes just tilts me. Please at least have the guts to quote real stuff and not just make Ghostcrawler/Meddler say what they didn't say. I mean, I'm not even amongst their fanclub (quite really far from that, really) but this trashy display of false quotes, false assumptions etc. is just.. wow.

The statement is true. If we're talking about a game like dyna blaster. But if it's a game with a thousand of different abilities, then it's a very sad that it was the game developers who said that.
