If she attacks, she gets revealed, and things will still connect with her even if she restealths in time. It’s not like she can just permanently stand under a tower and never worry about it hitting her if she’s attacking.

how is this a bad thing exactly? she can't do anything in said fountain. because if she does, she gets zapped and deleted.

Wow, that sounds like the least useful thing one could do with the ability.
If the argument that an ability is broken is trying to be justified with the fact that "it helps you dive fountain", then I don't think the person arguing the point realizes what makes a good or even broken ability.

The reason the fountain thing is so dumb, is they punished other champions for being able to sit in your fountain in the past (without Zhonyas).
For example, 
originally could sit in your fountain and dodged 100% of the shots from the fountain. He could still use all his abilities, summoner spells, and item actives.
Except... of course... the second she tries to attack you, she procs the fountain aggro and dies instantly... yep... pretty OP...
I don't see what walking under the fountain will do if she gets insta kill by it when she wants to harm me ? Play a skillshot champ against her, when she dives with her shroud use your spell and it them, you can still see her, you just can't target her and don't get me with the "But if I'm not a skillshot champ ?" just don't got near her, there is a class of characters literally build for diving, their call divers, how cool is it ? Since a long time tower dives are pretty easy to do, it's not Akali the problem, towers should just be more meaningful, Akali is just one of many champion that can abuse it, like everything in this game you need to play around it. Stop bitching for one minute, that's why nobody goes to the boards, their's only whinning and complains without thinking first if there is a counter play to it. People hate it when the counter play is walk away but most champion got that, it's their thing, to make you walk away or outplay.

Walking in a fountain for all of 5 seconds is nothing new.
There's definitely going to be tons of those "pls don't end" Akali moments simply because she thinks she can pentakill at the enemy's fountain.
I mean, if she gets to your nexus youve probably already lost. But yeah its a stupid mechanic imo.

I'm pretty sure she would still get zapped by the fountain lazer -.- just because basic turrets are blinded doesn't mean the fountain one is. It is the turret that tends to ignore abilities after all.
