So 50% of players had GA on them in Finals.

And they were tanks! Tanks are not tanky enough anymore, carries aren't even trying to use GA. Too much damage in game.

or maybe its because there was over $1,000,000 on the line, and you cant risk 1 min death timers. GA UP

or maybe it's cause they don't want to risk having a 70 second death timer

Dear op, stop telling people to look at "previous" worlds builds as an example. The death timer was different, towers were different and objectives were different. Its not a valid argument.

The value of a GA goes up as game length goes up (or more specifically death timers go up), and at the worlds level everyone is going to be trying their hardest instead of giving up at first blood as is common in solo queue. As a result we had those 60+ minute marathon games at the worlds level, so of course GAs are going to show up.

We also had people selling boots for more damage in some games, and I know the tactic of buying zzrot's briefly and rebuying your actual item was used during worlds (albeit not during finals). Selling GA on CD and replacing with something like banshees and swapping back and forth may have happened although I don't think the casters commented on it if it did.

Lots of ultra late game strategies other there that aren't meaningful in most regular games, wouldn't read too much into what pros are doing at worlds.

didn't they change GA a while back to give you a percentage of your health back? for that reason alone its gold efficient in my mind on tanks as a last or second to last buy
